C Mart
Growing Buzz That Falcons Like Joe Brady/Terry Fontenot Pairing Monday, January 11, 2021 12:50 pm EST Latest News, NFC By Ari Meirov All 6 head coaching vacancies remain empty but one could soon get filled. According to multiple reports, the Falcons are eyeing Panthers offensive coordinator Joe Brady as head coach and Saints executive Terry Fontenot as general manager. CBS Sports NFL reporter Jonathan Jones first mentioned the possibility on Monday morning. Jeff Schultz of The Athletic said he heard the pairing was “gaining steam” over the past week, and Zach Klein of WSB-TV tweeted he’d be surprised if that wasn’t the choice with “all signs pointing to Falcons making this a reality.” Atlanta has already interviewed both candidates. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Sunday that Fontenot is one of “two or three finalists” for the Falcons’ general manager vacancy. Fontenot has been with the Saints for 18 years and is widely respected. He’s also interviewed for the Broncos GM vacancy. Joe Brady was the Panthers offensive coordinator this past season and spent the 2017-2018 season with the Saints as an offensive assistant. Brady was LSU’s offensive coordinator for their historic 2019 season that saw Joe Burrow win the Heisman Trophy. Brady has also interviwed with the Jets, Chargers and Texans. https://nflupdate.co/growing-buzz-that-falcons-like-joe-brady-terry-fontenot-pairing/
