slimjasi
I had been very interested in Pederson, but I really did not like what I saw this year
JetsFanatic
I’d be interested in Pederson. Up until this year he was very successful. I’m not sure what factors contributed to this years 4-11-1 record, but his whole body of work is impressive
TheNuuFaaolaExperience
I don't like Doug "Peterson" or Joe "Douglaus." 1
Jolot
Nope we don’t need that drama now after that mess. If Philly lets him go nobody’s going to touch him for a year or two . Like the Astros manager , and Alex Cora and Beltran . Way different circumstances but similar in the way that nobody’s bringing that drama I to their clubhouse right now . flgreen
if Pederson becomes available IMO it could happen. Depends on what Joe's relationship with Pederson was. I'm good with it if Douglas is

This, holy sh*t if you’re going to the bother of starting a thread about someone at least get their name right. 2
KRL
If Pederson hits the market he's going to be a top candidate here because of his relationship with Douglas. He had a bad year but a SB winning HC can't be dismissed 4
Butterfield
They are crazy to get rid of the guy. Super Bowl win, two playoff years and just one bad year.

joewilly12
Trade the Eagles Adam Gase and Frank Gore.
Adoni Beast
Even though I’d rather us take a swing with Saleh/Brady/Staley I’d be really interested in this...without giving up any draft capital.
flgreen
Think if he was going to get fired it would have happened already. If Lurie was angry about the bad year, and then the tank in week 17, he would have reacted then. Think the meeting will be Lurie giving him the ultimatum. Win or be gone. Of course if Pederson and Douglas have an "understanding" Pederson could give him the finger.

joewilly12
Doug Pederson is a JD hire.
FTL Jet Fan
We trade for Pederson and the Fins trade for Watson sounds like a typical Jets scenario.

Apparently Lurie wants some changes to the staff and the vision of the team that contrast with Pederson.
Bronx
I think some of you guys hate winners, Pederson, Harbaugh.

We have like 3 or 4 6th round picks in 2022. If they send one of them for him that's fine since it would not be that much of an impact and can be made up likely by another JD trade down.

addage
The article seems to say that Lurie wants Pederson to convince him how much he wants to be the Eagles HC. It seems that the Eagles' problems extend well beyond who the HC is. As fans, we get all wrapped up in how terrible the Jets are. And they are. But the road to a fix is a lot clearer for the Jets than for many other non-playoff teams. If the relationship between Pederson and JD is as tight as we assume, Pederson could use his Lurie meeting to force the issue. Or, as he gives Lurie his vision of the Eagles going forward,, he may be demanding much more control. My concern with Pederson would be that he needs to come into a potential Jets job as the coach reporting to the GM. Is that what he wants? Assumes the Jets want him which I do not know. prime21
I would hire him. It’s also a nice way to stick it to the cry baby Giants fans and coaches by having in the building. Sent from my iPad using JetNation.com mobile app
