jets rooter
the jets should not draft a quarterback in the first round.common sense tells them to trade down and draft lendale white #1 and receive extra picks.they can get a quarterback with potential in the second round.which I hope would be omar jacobs.then with the extra picks they can go offensive line or defensive line or line backer to accomadate a 3-4 line up if that is the route that they want to take.this draft is strong in offensive and defensive linemen,so lets see what transpires and lets enjoy the suspense. The two sleeper qb prospects in this draft are Marcus Vick and Reggie McNeal. They will probably both be available in Round 4. Vick is high risk but he also is high reward. If he is 80% of what his brother is now he'll be a steal. Just keep the glocks away from him. McNeal ran a 4.3 40. That's better than most of the receivers in this draft. He's raw but he'll either develop into a good running qb or another Hines Ward, Randle-El type.
vinnys025
Mangini wouldnt take Vick if he was free, and neither would I.

If Vick is 80% of what his brother is then he'll suck horribly, since 100% of what his brother is sucks.

quietjets
I dont like any qb who thinks run first..... Neither does Mangini. Jets are at poor position to acquire either rb or qb as a first rounder... I save all spectaculing craps about who will be our first rounder until April because the stories will be changed dramatically after a frenzy of free agency signings. JA goes to Browns? they play 3-4... JA goes to Redskins or Broncos? they have salary cap issue right now.. JA and 1st round pick go to Texans for 1st overall selection? Jets need to fill in many holes.. That is not a smart marketing plan so shoot all of those rumors down.
