kelly
the jets will NOT draft a QB in the early rounds of the 2006 draft. too many other holes to fill. they have their eyes on 2007 draft re the QB position ( Brady Quinn/notre dame ). Forget Quinn. I dont want to see Jets to politically lose another season to get first overall selection.... Jets may select a qb in day 2 this April such as Holland, T.Jackson, Nealy or Olsen.. Quinn and Staton will be top 2 qbs unless next year junior like bohm and russell declare to skip the senior year for pro. Which that would make 4 promising qbs available for first round in 2007. I may feel better if Jets take a qb in 2nd round to protect the qb situation in case if Bohm and / or Russell will stay put for senior year and Quinn and Staton are taken before Jets... If Quinn is available when Jets are on the clock then go for it.. I have no problem with it because Jets may grow some value in qb corp when the trade is necessary to be made. bitonti
maybe that would be a good plan if Brady Quinn promised to bring Charlie Weis with him.

There is no team that is eyeing for 2007 draft prospects right now... Given Jets' qb situation, Jets could be eyeing for Quinn in 2007... It is not necessary a truth or factoid... shutout
Impossible, as nobody can predict where the Jets may sit in the 2007 draft. I think I could predict the Jets draft slot in the 07 draft...And I bet TX's prediction wouldn't be too far off either.

faba
Brady Quinn will be one of the top if not the top pick in 2007 so no Jet fan should be rooting for that scenerio for us to draft
PeterNorth09
Maybe if we tank every year for the next 11 years on purpose by the year 2017 we'll have a good team? We can draft D'Brick this year, next year get Quinn, the year after that get a right tackle and so on...

124
Now that Pennington is returning it would be stupid to draft a rookie because we need a veteran to compete with him...not someone whose just as ready as Chad is to take the starting reigns. If Jets sign a vet qb and draft a promising rookie qb after 2nd round then Jets can kiss a good bye to Brooksie... That is easy to be done. The Gun Of Bavaria
Brady Quinn = Garbage I hope the Jets have a solid plan for #2 if they don't want Cutler. Because whoever it is will be starting by week 4.
