Jason Taylor was a good Jet and made a few very important plays for us in 2010.

Stop hating.

This is true.  It was hard to root for him initially, but he did play well as a Jet and made some very important plays that season.

That’s because the “other guy in the room” was Maccagnan.  So CJ did know more than the other guy.

Don’t fear being wrong. You took a swing based on legitimate info; and apparently it’s what is being heard around the league. Kudos to you, regardless of what happens.

According to Ian Rapoport and Peter Schrager, Saleh arrived last night and met with some of the people from the Jets organization and is now meeting with Christopher Johnson this morning.  He wil

Thanks to my anxiety I have gotten a whopping three and half hours of sleep because I’m so afraid of being wrong, but at least the checkmarks are hearing the same things I’ve heard since yesterday.

love your posts.

that being said - you should not have anxiety over being wrong on a post on a message board.  that's not healthy.

1. I haven't had a toaster oven in decades.  They still make them?

Yes, but now they are more like mini 'real' ovens with digital timers, smart sensing, and convection.  Check out the Breville line, quite handy.

2. I just bought a new subwoofer and I've been enjoying a lot of old Pink Floyd on it, and not just Dark Side of the Moon. .  Damned thing is phenomenal (Bowers & Wilkins DBS4).

I abandoned the big stereo system concept and have a bunch of Apple HomePod's sprinkled around the house with an Apple Music subscription.  Sound great, very convenient, 30 million songs just a "Hey Siri" away for $10 a month.

Lol, I think it’s more about letting everyone else here down.  I know it sounds corny, but it’s just my anxiety.  Nothing more, nothing less.

Chill Mogg! Your updates are great and we know that NO ONE is ever 100% right on what they pass along. You made the last week a lot more entertaining and interesting for a lot of us long term Jets fans. Thanks

There are no head coach contracts for 3 years Mogglez. The absolute minimum is 4 years for rookie head coaches. Being an "insider" and all I would have thought you new that.

4. In my teens and 20's we used to pop in to Gloria's Pizza off Roosevelt Ave near the LIRR station.  Then I moved away and eventually they closed.  Well they re-opened in Forest Hills right next to the Midway theater.  Two of my old buddies have tried it and said they are back baby after so many years.

The best thing to do is to get some leftover pizza, reheat it isn your toaster oven, crank some Pink Floyd with the subwoofer powered up with your dog by your side while perusing your favorite web site pornh..., errr Jetnation.

Question:

Why are people assuming that Saleh would be bringing the SF offensive system with him from SF? Did Rex bring the Ravens offense with him when he came to the Jets?

I think this is an extremely tenuous assumption - as is the assumption that the hire gives us any obvious hint as to what the Jets will do at QB.

Because of the OCs rumored to come with him?

I abandoned it for the last 25 years (kids). But now I am back into the audiophile world and loving every minute of it.

From what it sounds like the process went the way I wanted it to:

- Douglas (and staff) found the candidates
- Ran the interviews
- Selected the finalist that meshes with the front office
- Presented them to Chris Johnson for "rubber stamping"

Hopefully it will be settled today.

Again big ups to @Mogglez and @football guy you two should be taking victory laps

No victory laps for me, even if I’m right lol.  Full blown fan mode and will just be getting hyped.

Watched it too. Pretty much confirming what was posted by @football guy

Jerod Mayo for HC?  Where did all the time go? Has he been a position coach or coord yet?  I remember it wasn't that long ago he was a great linebacker for the Patriots.

if we lose our first choice because of being cheap or stupid we will never get another good candidate again.

The Johnsons have a history of screwing everything up.  I'll wait until it's official.  There is no limit to the damage the stupidity of the Johnsons can have on us.

I disagree, the fans hate the owner, but people who work for him tend to like him.

I've had 3 Jets interns in my classes over the last decade.  I've been told more than once that Woody is feared there.  He makes the ordinary staff very uncomfortable and he doesn't look any of them in the eye.  They have said he is aloof there and not liked by most.   ANd all three said similar things in different years.  Most recent was 5 years ago before Chris took over, so I have no feedback on Chris... just Woody.

Pats love Mayo, would be a tough loss for them, too bad! Regarding Saleh’s potential hire, as with most things it can go ether way regarding Darnold. In the Sf game, Sam was his usual unproductive self, even with Sf playing many backups for most of game. He threw a meaningless td with 3 minutes left in game... so yeah, he may be a decent fit for wc offense, but i think wilson would actually run it better...

Probably met with football people yesterday and Chris Johnson this morning for final approval.   If he is their guy, let's hope there are no funny contract discussions that derail it.

And thanks @Mogglez, @football guyand all the insiders that generously share some information here!

Based on what both CJ and JD told us on how the process was going to be handled, I certainly hope this is the case.

I don’t know how people do this for a living lmao.  It’s way too stressful.

I chuckle a lot from reading JN...  I enjoy your posts as well as many others. I can take any ribbing I get... PS "most of the time"

If Chris truly has faith in JD to get the right guy, then this should be nothing more than  a formality.

Yeah I guess.  Like I said to Pac, it’s more about letting you guys all down, as corny as that sounds.  That’s always how my anxiety has worked.  Great, big, and fun fear of disappointing people..

We appreciate what you and the other guys are doing and what you guys are doing makes this site really great to come to. You aren't doing this in a way that is seeking attention or praise or from a place of entitlement from having access to info that others don't have and that's much appreciated from me at least.

These were college grads and students/interns preparing for graduate school, law school and b-school.  I was teaching LSAT, GMAT, GRE as well as app advice for Kaplan at almost every college in Northern NJ.  I've had a player, assistant coaches and other employees and their children and interns in my classes through the years.  I always told my groups I'm a Jets fan, so anyone in the class affiliated with them has always been happy to chit-chat.
