That’s because the “other guy in the room” was Maccagnan.  So CJ did know more than the other guy.

Don’t fear being wrong. You took a swing based on legitimate info; and apparently it’s what is being heard around the league. Kudos to you, regardless of what happens.

According to Ian Rapoport and Peter Schrager, Saleh arrived last night and met with some of the people from the Jets organization and is now meeting with Christopher Johnson this morning.  He wil

I have told myself so many times “don’t get your hopes up, expect worst case scenario” with the Jets. And I always relapse and start hoping. Blehhhhhhhh

We are acting like other teams are banging on the door to get him. It's was reported he had a bad interview with the Lions and the Jets were his best chance. The Eagles asked for an initial interview but he was among  a lot of other requests. Very possible Jets are his only chance regardless.

I don’t want to feel like it’s all doom and gloom but it’s kinda hard not to. Especially after reading, watching, and listening to how great this would be for us from so many different people.

I think Staley is up next.

I like Staley too, but we'd have to wait until after they get knocked out in the play-offs right? It is a risk waiting, although unsure if Staley has had other first interviews?

This implies to me that other guys are getting a second interview -  So who else is interviewing?

I read somewhere yesterday, that the Jets were having second interviews with more than one candidate. I'm anxious to here who they are.

While Saleh may end up with the job and I'd be ok with that since it would mean that JD thinks he is a good fit, I was leery of the idea that Saleh would be hired without anyone else getting a second interview. I'm glad that JD is being thorough. Hiring him after giving only him a second interview would smack of desperation.  I've never been in an interview process wherein the interviewee gets to dictate timing and whether I get to interview other people on my list. Frankly, only a weak interviewer would do that, and I do not view JD as weak.

There was a story out that he was having second thoughts about leaving the Rams. He would be might next choice is Saleh doesn't work out.

Maybe agent is feeling out other teams and possible yrs and money they are wiling to make if he is their choice. Counter the Jets offer and we flaked?

If the second round takes this long then we should have a coach sometime in February. SMH

Seems people are knocking down our doors to coach this great organization & we have to vet each 1 twice. We won't be beggars until everyone chooses another destination. Shottenheimer it is!
