3 teams have coaches officially and 1 seems to be a done deal

Falcons > Arthur Smith
Jets > Robert Salah
Jaguars > Urban Meyer
Lions > Dan Campbell (Saints) - not confirmed

That leaves 3 teams looking for coaches:

  1. Texans
  2. Chargers
  3. Eagles

That leaves 4 "Hot" coaching prospects who interviewed for most or all of the openings still available:

  1. Eric Bieniemy
  2. Brian Daboll
  3. Brandon Staley
  4. Matt Eberflus

Which of those 4 "Hot" prospects gets left out?

You forgot Joe Brady.

Was he a hot prospect outside of this forum? 1 year a as coordinator of a middle of the pack offense isn't going to have most teams giving you a real shot.

I'm not taking anything away from him as the Panthers exceeded expectations, but he needs more time. He wasn't even an offensive coordinator in college.

I don’t think he’s ready but he has been interviewed by Philadelphia, the Jets, Houston, the Chargers, and Atlanta. Five out of seven probably qualifies him as a hot candidate.
