2021 NY JETS/NFL FREE AGENCY DRAFT TRADES RUMORS HAPPENINGS ***

Recommended Posts

People might be getting too worked up over losing Linsley.  He had one All Pro season.  Was pretty up and down and inconsistent before that.  To make him the highest paid center would be too much.

Joe Thuney and Corey Linsley is *not* a one or the other proposition for the Jets. If Thuney were to accept the Jets offer, they would still be interested in Linsley 👀

Both Thuney and Linsley signed record breaking deals. Money does trump all

Thuney got great money to go to the team that was just in the SB.

Linsley got great money to live in San Diego with a top young QB.

If the money is equal, no one is coming to the 3-13 team.

even someone named Asman is letting us have it.

Good thing the kids are gone with the in-laws... would be a bad night to not brush their teeth on time.

Worst Joewilly12 thread ever.

And that's saying something!

I'm just glad this thread isn't "OFFICIAL".... maybe this is all unofficial and we'll soon awake from this nightmare.

Not me dude/dudette I predicted 5 immediate impact starters in free agency and 4-5 immediate impact starters in the draft.

I mean at this point JD will have to get one of the edge guys so we get above th salary cap floor.

Golladay is still out there but seems like JD isn’t ever going to reset any markets.

Mr Build Through the Draft better fukn nail it this year

I mean I'm all for value but at what point is saving $2mm by not upping your offer good for if we have 100mm in cap space? Like that additional $2mm is better spent over spending on a guy that may be able to keep your young QB from getting his dick punched in. What is the value of having a QB who has PTD from playing behind the Jets o-line?

Nah. Agents don't think we are desperate, they think we are inept.

well they probably think they cant take advantage of us now, since we literally didnt over pay for guys that many thought were our number 1 and 2 targets.

thats is the opposite of desperate

He better be planning on using two of our top three picks on olinemen.

I’m pretty positive he is using number 23 on an ol.  Or maybe he moves back a little to gain more draft capital.  JD wants to build primarily through the draft.

Why have all this cap space?

It's hard to watch the first wave pass, but there are cuts coming from teams that are tight on the cap, and trade options for high priced players.  Teams like the Jets will have to build leverage by eliminating better teams who chew up their salary cap first.  This is why we need to build through the draft... we're not that attractive to free agents.

At this point we should just wait a few more days so at least we can be first in some thing. Cap space

After all of NE signings there's no need to wait. We have the most cap space now.

For all we know we were in on both O lineman. For them to sign with us, we were going to have to beat some deals that already made these guys the highest paid at their position. In the end it’s going to take insane contracts for top free agents to come to us right now when they have other options.

So don't make the money equal. Offer more.

Somebody might want to pull JD aside and whisper slash scream that when you're the worst team in the league, you're gonna have to pony up to drive traffic into your lot.

Now put on your big boy pants and go sign Reiff...

Haha I was just going to post that we gotta pull in Reiff at all costs. Linsley signed a not crazy deal that will seem even less problematic when the cap bounces up $15m next offseason, JDs gotta do something.

Yet he still has to spend the cap space.  It's not a bad thing to pay free agents.

You guys are nuts. You can get 80 percent of the player at 10% of the price in Pat Eflin

Pat Elflein already signed with the Panthers, GreekJet.

Our tackles are fine. We have the worst guard combo in the league.

Maybe someone like Gabe Jackson and a rookie at 23?

Fine? Fant is mediocre, and we should stop accepting that
