Putting an M3 engine in a Ford Escort actually makes the car worse, not better. SAR I I think the OL and WRs are (or will be) good enough for Watson to make some hay. Darnold was just so bad that it weighed everyone else down. In Flacco’s two November starts, Mims and Perriman looked pretty good and the team averaged 28 ppg.

Added some new Honda rims I got from a junk yard, never used for 1k that are worth nearly double, and 4 new Michelins. Topped it off with Weathertech mats. She really likes the mats ? It's not like they care about winning games Why would a Kevin Durant and James Harden and Kyrie Irving want to come to Brooklyn? Why do MLB players run to play for the Yankees? The goal is changing the culture, fielding a team of tough, competitive young players finding there way and building this roster through the draft. 3

It's not like they care about winning games eh...it would be less than $3mm. - I mean nothing to sneeze at - I think the state tax thing is over done though. When you're making 35 million - 32.15 mm isn't going to kill you if you're happier. Heck I live on the NJ - PA border - I can move to PA which has a substantially lower state tax burden. I don't because I like where I live. I do the math all the time and proportionally it's a good amount of money but make ultimately being happy is the priority.

Clearly we don't since so many people couldn't believe how many firsts the Rams gave up for Stafford - even though their value wasn't that high and they were dumping Goffs contract. Most fans don't actually pay that close attention and I'm sure it's the same in Houston. That's what can be so frustrating to those of us that do. And I’d also guarantee that, once Watson is traded, they’re going to start the clock on Culley because it appears he was hired explicitly to keep Watson happy, but was a bottom of the barrel pick otherwise The sell shouldn’t be “you get Zach Wilson” it should be that with the 2nd pick the Texans will have control of the draft. They can hold the pick ransom for someone who wants to take Sewell or Wilson or even Chase, or they can take any of those guys.

In fact the rumor mill has Zach wilson not on the Texans draft board at all This would be to the Jets advantage. Adoni Beast
• Our #2 pick this year • Our non-Seattle 2022 1st • Our 2nd round pick this year. That should be enough, especially when Houston starts seeing what other teams can/will offer.

So what happens when Watson wants 40 per season? Ya know, for his efforts. The Jets are not the Brooklyn nets. Woody's not an atm machine type owner. He's more like the guy who uses the team as an atm. In for a penny in for a pound, if the Jets trade for Watson, they have to give him exactly what he wants, forever. Or until Watson's body fails him Why would the Jets do this? It's like trading for Jamal Adams or prime Revis. The dude is paid so much, he doesn't have to take orders. It's way easier to just pay Sam Darnold his 4th year. That guy sucks but he doesn't cause problems

The Stafford return probably made them smile because it was good news for them as far as getting a massive. No matter what side of the fence you are on the reality is that the odds of a trade actually happening are pretty slim. Douglas values draft picks and considering we have the worst roster in the league by far trading a bunch of high picks won’t help build the team. So it’s ok to dream that’s what’s gear about being a fan but it’s just not realistic. If the Hets were in a better position roster wise then sure it would be great but that’s not the case How is the Stafford return massive? They have to take on Goffs contract and most likely get #1s that are closer to second round picks. The last #1 was to take Goff off of their hands. That frees up cap space for them. The Rams made out better than Detroit in the trade. The Rams have a window to win now and a much better QB AND dumped Goffs massive contract to boot. It looks better for Detroit on the surface until you analyze what REALLY happened. 1

Plus really even if it doesn't get sorted out, it's still so much money that it's in effect infinity dollars. Or anyway, if you were going to blow all that much, then avoiding the extra $3MM/year in NY/NJ taxes wasn't going to save you. Also he did just pocket his $27MM signing bonus in TX with no state income tax, too, so there's that. He may want to restructure his upcoming roster bonus as guaranteed salary, too, since I think those are subject to the state played in, and he'll save some for the road games played in states with lower rates than NY/NJ. But all that's semantics, and I'd revert to my original point, which is that he will still be taking in so much it makes no difference. How many more Benleys & Lambos is he going to buy? Plus the endorsement thing isn't nothing just because bit says so. For the largest/national campaign endorsements, no it probably makes no difference to someone at his level (FFS Manning played in Indy & Denver, yet his elongated head was on our TVs for 20+ years). Case in point, Watson already has/had deals with huge brands like Nike, Rolex, & Beats. But there's also a massive amount of more local endorsements (and appearances) for which they get paid, and cumulatively that adds up to more than he's getting from H-E-B, Zurvita, and such. Could/should easily offset the state tax if it matters to him that much.

According to the draft chart #2 + #34 = 3160 points. The 16th overall pick which is a mid first rounder is equal to 1000. Yup. And it's completely fine for the Texans to come out and start negotiations with 2 first rounders, 2 second rounders and two defensive starters. They were never going to get that, but that's where they decided to start things off. I could see the Jets giving up the #2 overall pick, their second rounder and throwing in a second rounder next year or a young starter on defense (Shepherd, Cashman, maybe K.Phillips, maybe even Bless), but not any promising rookie from last year like Hall or even Zuniga. And certainly not a premier building block like Q. I could even see the Jets going as far as 2 first round pick- #2 and Seattles this year, but no players. Maybe a conditional 5th next year as a sweetener if Watson stays healthy and plays a certain number of games. MAYBE Darnold is involved in either offer as a sweetener- he would really be an odd man out if the Jets got Watson (even though they could still trade him). Other teams will not give Houston better offers once the dust settles. Miami WILL NOT give them the #3 and #18 picks with Tua or any sweeteners.
