I don’t think anyone was suggesting the Jets cut Becton (and Fant for that matter, in the absence of drafting/signing an upgrade) and just go with their backups instead. Because that’s what we’re watching here.

KC’s line held up in the playoffs before this (as did GB’s patchwork pair of tackles until the NFCCG). So it’s also a lesson in how important it is to be able to generate pressure within 3 seconds without blitzing one’s safety.

If the Jets decide to move on from Darnold, fine. Understandable.

Yeah I agree with that.  But I also think it's impossible to get a great read on Darnold or any other young QB with the talent we surround them with.

Mahomes throwing off his back foot, back pedaling, on the run as soon as the ball is snapped. He’s reacting bad to the pressure. 
You can make any superstar QB look human when the rush is coming in that quickly

It’s easy to see how important an Offensive line is to a QB.

The thing is he's still making the most of every play. Darnold panics and throws into triple coverage when his line breaks down.

PFF graded the Chargers line 32nd of 32. Didn't affect Herbert all that much.

Mahomes having a bad SB because his line is out with injury doesn't absolve Darnold of sucking. He sucks on his own merits.
