RedBeardedSavage
The idea is the value in this draft is in the top 10 and in round 2-3. I didn't go for dollar figures in free agency or extensions, but I'm generally of the mind we won't be huge players, but definitely not bargain bin like last year. I don't think Joe D wants to build a team through free agency, but we have to improve the team. This is also assuming we don't trade for Watson, which I still prefer to all of this, and assuming that none of the QB prospects move the needle for us. And obviously there will be more fringe players re-signed and added via free agency. Re-Sign: Marcus Maye S Pat Elflein G Free Agency: Kyle Juszczyk FB 49ers Ahkello Witherspoon CB 49ers Corey Linsley C Packers (allows us to move McGovern to G, which is his best position and upgrades two positions) Derek Barnett DE Eagles (assuming he'll be cut when he turns down a team friendly extension to lower his $10 million salary next season) Josh Sweat DE Eagles is a decent backup option considering he's a free agent and it's unlikely both return Daniel Carlson K Raiders Curtis Samuel WR Panthers Jonnu Smith TE Titans Draft: (trade #2 for Carolinas #8, second rounder, third rounder and first next year) (trade #23 for Giants second and third rounders) 8 (Panthers): Jaylen Waddle WR Alabama 34: Dillon Radunz OT ND State 40 (from Panthers): Ronnie Perkins DE Oklahoma 43 (from Giants): Jabril Cox LB LSU 66: Michael Carter RB UNC 72 (from Panthers): Paulson Adebo CB Stanford 75 (from Giants): Elijah Moore WR Ole Miss 86 (Seahawks via Prez): Benjamin St Juste CB Minnesota 106: Brady Christensen OT BYU 145: Marlon Williams WR UCF 154: James Empey C BYU 196: Jemar Jefferson RB Oregon State ***I could also see a situation wherein Ossai or a freakish edge player is taken on the trade down and someone like Rondale Moore of Purdue is taken at the Ronnie Perkins pick at the top of the second.*** All feedback welcome. Have at it.
sec101row23
Trading 23 for 43 and 75 seems like a horrific trade.
