Eh, Kelce was a 3rd. Kittle was a 5th, Waller was a 6th. It's not a position you can't find premium players at in the later rounds.

You can always have a name or two like everyoneee loves to be Brady 6th....yea sure people hit the loterry sometimes. Proportional to all the Tights Ends that havent panned out in mid rounds we are prob looking at a 10 percent hit rate.

That's a silly comparison.

Virtually every starting QB in the NFL was a first round pick, and all except for four went in the first two rounds.

Virtually none of the best TEs in the NFL were first round picks and most of the best ones were 3rd or later.

QB is a premium position that requires an early pick, Brady is an extreme outlier.

Most TEs taken in the first bust, it's far from a premium position.

There’s no way that JD should be looking anywhere near Ertz.  Besides Ertz probably wants no part of the Jets either.

Not a good move for the player or the team. Jets are in the middle(or beginning again) of a massive rebuild. Makes no sense to take a gamble on a 30 year old TE no matter who the QB is. I’d put a huge effort into getting Johnu Smith.
