The same people advocating to trade Sam because he sucks are most likely the same people that would be afraid to trade him to NE.

I think that would be the very best match for both Darold and NE, I've said it for a while.

NE gets a still cheap young QB worth taking a chance on that would not cost them an arm and a leg to acquire.

However, given that Darnold has saved some of his worst career performances for NE, I find it hard to believe Belichick would have any interest:

• 12/30/18:  16-28, 167 yards, 0 TDs, 0 INTs, 74.6 QB Rating
• 10/21/19:  11-32, 86 yards, 0 TDs, 4 INTs, 3.6 QB Rating
• 1/3/21:  23-34, 266 yards, 1 TDs, 2 INTs, 76.3 QB Rating

Total:  50-94 (53 %), 519 yards, 5.5 YPA, 1 TD, 6 INTs
