Running around, making plays, throwing the football etc, I do think Zach Wilson has more talent then Trevor Lawrence.  But size, smarts, leadership etc also play a big role in all of this.

But if you are just watching tape of both these guys slinging it around, Zach Wilson will probably look like the better qb.  

But lets be honest, hes not.

He said he called the success of Lamar and Josh Allen during their drafts and got tons of crap from everyone.  But his analysis of Wilson is extremely positive.  I do agree with everything he says.  Especially the part about wishing he were a bit bigger.   Queue the Wilson detractors!

During the 2018 draft I thought he was a joke because all of the "smart" analysts like PFF mocked guys like Allen - and to an extent Lamar. Say what you want about him but that is an impressive track record.

I don;t know if Wilson is better than Lawrence but the gap between the top guys is WAY narrower than what has been put out there for a year or more.  Lawrence was never 'generational'

Also as I have said often, this time next year we will be talking about 2 or 3 guys from college right now not viewed as top prospects who are very worthy.

I dont have that idea.  I do believe that trevor lawrence is ahead of wilson in the smarts, leadership, size categories.

Simms has been the best QB evaluator in recent years. Seems to do his own analysis and not get caught up in the echo chamber consensus rankings. Refreshing.

I don’t know, it kind of is.

I specifically remember him doing a livestream during that ‘18 draft and him screaming for the Jets to draft Rosen at #3 but then saying that Darnold was a solid choice.
