Popular Post Spoot-Face
Murder at Midnight Mafia I posit to you this one question: Where do criminals go when they can no longer hide in the shadows? If you venture out beyond the safety of the sprawling metropolis and the shelter of its cobblestone walls, past the numerous, isolated little villages and farms that dot the surrounding countryside, and through the mountain range that slashes violently across the landscape you'll find the desolate lands of Drakken Cove. This unwelcoming little town sits isolated, tucked between the harsh and rough terrain of the mountains, and the cold, torrid depths of the sea. Nothing grows here and nothing flourishes. No tourists, nor missionaries, nor traders ever come -- well, no legal traders, that is. Drakken Cove's isolation is it's only value, as it allows the numerous pirates, thieves, and black-marketers to count, collect, stash, peddle, and offload their ill-gotten gains at its port. They are not the only damned souls you'll find that stalk the streets of Drakken Cove; murderers, gangsters, rapists, and delinquents -- civilized society's most wanted, or unwanted. Here you may stumble upon hit-men, con-men, or those fleeing hit-men. You'll find drug users, abusers, liars, and cheaters -- the dregs of society. There is one man who stands above the rest -- one who once would be considered an honest, and honorable man in any society. Constable Tiggins. Unfortunately, a secret storage room of trafficked goods, a sleepy guard, a most unfortunate thief, and a high-profile noble with unmeasured reach has led constable Tiggins on his path here. There was nothing he could do. Try as he might, a good, honest, and honorable man just wasn't enough. Perhaps that's why the denizens of Drakken Cove tolerate constable Tiggins; because the only thing a criminal hates more than an honest man, is a dishonest one who masquerades as an honest one. Sure, not everyone reveres him; he's had to fight for his life on more than one occasion -- that's just life in Drakken Cove. But, whenever a conflict arises between two rival crews that threatens the perilous peace -- or as close to it as you'll find here -- that they have, far removed from the laws and consequences of civilization, or when a particularly influential pirate ends up dead, they go to constable Tiggins. To be clear here, "constable" is in name only. He has no official title, but despite that he still does his best to keep the peace -- or at least to limit the body count. And in Drakken Cove, it's a tough, thankless job. ************************************************** On this early morning, there is a particular chill in the air, one that seems to bypass one's clothes and penetrate directly to the bone. The sun has not yet risen high enough in the sky to overtake the mountainous barrier that keeps Drakken Cove shrouded in a shadowy pall, and the morning mist drifting in from the sea works to complete the eerie scene. Constable Tiggins patrols through the town square, "patrol" being what he calls roaming the numerous peddler stalls until he finds who's selling grub stolen from a supply boat the most recently. He's currently questioning a particularly squirrely-looking , and wholly untrustworthy man about the freshness of his "meat". Seeing the constable's disinterest, the vendor makes a quick pivot to pitch his collection of fine beaver pelts. Revolting, Tiggins thinks, scowling and pulling away from the man. Constable Tiggins notices a crowd forming at the mouth of a nearby alleyway. Sensing something off about the way those dastardly men look perturbed, he decides to go investigate. "What's this all about?" The men are silent, and just motion down the alleyway where a few more onlookers are standing around... something. Making his way down, the constable already starts to smell it, and is quickly thankful that he has not had breakfast yet. He notices the local doctor is already on scene. "Hey, doc -- oooooh," he grimaces from the rapidly intensifying odor as he approaches. "What do we have..." The constable trails off as the picture becomes clear. "What in God?" "God had nothing to do with this one, constable." In this narrow alleyway was the most horrid site. A body -- naked, with head and limbs severed and piled neatly against the torso which was covered in cuts; the most prominent being a single word carved in the man's chest. "Filth", mouths the constable, reading the grotesque script. He has to turn away back down the alleyway towards the main street, because despite having had no breakfast he is dangerously close to loosing something. The doctor follows and approaches the constable's side. "When do you reckon this happened, doc?" "It's hard to tell without a closer examination, but I'd guess sometime last night." Just then, a distressed looking man runs up. "There you are, I've been looking all over for you, constable! There was a murder last night!" "Yes, I know." "Well, I'd like to know what you're going to do about it!", the man chirps indignantly. "I promise you, I'll do my best to find whoever did it." "Well, good, because I want to get my money back." The constable and doc both look at each other, puzzled. "Your money?" "Yes, my money!", the man yells arrogantly, "that mule cost me a lot, and it was a good strong mule!" "W-What? Nobody cares about your jackass! Now get out of here!" The constable shoos away the pudgy man. The doctor then turns to the constable. "I'm sorry to leave you to deal with this with by yourself, but, as you can see, there's nothing I can do to help that man in the alley, and I have other patients I need to attend to this morning." "No, no, go deal with the people you can help. I can deal with this. You've done enough for now, doctor, and thank you. It's good to have someone like you around. Every town needs a doctor, even one like this." "Yes, I agree, although it seems like I do more corpse handling than I do saving lives." And with that the doctor walks off and leaves Tiggins with his thoughts. He's afraid. He's afraid that somebody who could do something so gruesome won't stop -- can't stop. Maybe he's wrong, he thinks. He hopes he is. Game Roster: 1. Greenstud -- Berg, local muscle-for-hire – Miller – Town 2. Stark -- Gertie Tilton, herbalist – Miller – Town (Lynched Day 1) 3. Popular Post Greenseed4
Great job @Spoot-Face It’s about time someone put some real effort into a game. Well done setting up the shadowy plot, using the fancy font, and finding some pansy ass music to really set the mood. And despite your repeated references to my ex-wife’s vagina (Drakken Cove, as you call it), I’m sure this game would have had some potential, had it not taken so long to kick it off. It’s a shame you put so much time into something so predictable. I mean, it’s obvious who the killer is...a ******* coward, that’s who. Wake me up when the ale house starts serving turkey legs.
CTM
hey rodent.. black text isn't visible in dark mode. Also I'm a miller... If a cop investigates me it will be guilty. So don't bother investigating me, but if you are a stubborn stupid mule like last games cop and do so anyway, I suggest you do not reveal yoself as it will not provide any new information. And just so scum can join in the wifom , I may or may not have additional powers Chew on that beeyotchs rule #

Spoot-Face
Crap, the black text is in all the PMs, too, ffs, and it is pretty hard to read. That's what I get for copy and pasting from a text editor, lmao. Hopefully not many people use night mode, or at least have the good sense to turn off night mode to read them until I can fix each one. Not doing it tonight. Too late. Need to sleep soon.

Greenseed4
Ok, ok so everyone is a loose-lipped Miller. That means the cop is useless, which should have been apparent from the second and third paragraphs which state that this is a town of unsavory folk, not unlike myself.
