He might just bite. 1

Some feel RB this high is a luxury pick and they are normally right, but this kid feels like he's got a little bit of that Tyler Rose magic to him. It's weird, because I never realized Barkley was 230 lbs. because he never seems to run like it. Harris runs like it. while also having speed and hands. In the right system with the right OL in front of him, I think he's got an incredible ceiling.

Fields is the guy I want and I would take him at 2, but there is waaaaaaay too much of an obsession with trading down on this board. We already have plenty of picks to build a good roster over the next couple of years, assuming we can actually hit on some of them. Don't get cute, just take the QB you like at 2. 5 1 1
Beerfish
Jones had some misses on the long ones but has been very good on the short to mid range passes imo.

However, he began to struggle a little as his routine went to the intermediate and deeper throws at the Palmeiro Center in Starkville. At one point, Prescott missed five consecutive passes while throwing deep corner routes. SEC Network’s Greg McElroy, a former Alabama QB, pointed out that Prescott’s elbow tends to drop as he throws intermediate to deep balls.

k-met57
i am really interested in who the jets want....but one thing is clear...they only love 1 guy. you don't hold the line at 2 if you like more then 1 (not including Lawrence).

RutgersJetFan
I feel like Fields is going to be more successful the first couple years than Wilson because rookies with legs tend to have a more immediate impact, and the board will lose its sh*t over it. And that is gonna be hiiiiiiiiilarious. 2

If I recall correctly, Fields is not great on short range passes. I have seen the exact opposite. Fields is accurate everywhere. Here's one example of the charting FWIW. https://withthefirstpick.com/2021/02/24/nfl-draft-quarterbacks-fields-accuracy/7/ 1. Justin Fields, Ohio State By a razor thin margin over Lawrence, Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields emerges as the most on-target passer in this class. He has proven to have the ability to drive balls into windows at every level of the field, and do so at quite a high level. Fields was on target at an extremely high clip of 83.46 percent of his passes throughout eight games in 2020. Outside the numbers, again the area of the field that carries the steepest weight, Fields was on target on 80 percent of his passes to that level. When pushing the ball deep down the field, Fields connected on an extraordinary 83.33 percent of his passes, going 15-of-18 on balls over 30 yards in depth. 5

mrcoops
Fields is just an impressive physical specimen, a very good college QB, and a terrific NFL prospect. I'd still love for him to be our pick at 2, even though I don't think it's going to happen. Wilson is going to be our guy. 2
