He's a good player no doubt, but you made sure that you now have an anchor for the right side of the OL for 10 years, to go with Becton. on the left side for 10 years. I'd take what you did every time.

Spencer Brown 3rd round.

Offensive line coaches from the Chicago Bears, Cincinnati Bengals, New England Patriots, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Arizona Cardinals were on hand for what some described as one of the best offensive line workouts they’ve witnessed in half a dozen years.

Brown measured in at 6’8 1/2″ and 311 pounds. His arms reached 34 ¾ inches and he completed 33 reps on the bench, although scouts took four away for poor technique, officially crediting him with 29 reps.

His 40 times clocked between 4.88 to 4.90 seconds, with his three-cone coming in sharp at 6.96 seconds. His short shuttle was 4.34 seconds. Brown’s other marks include 31.5 inches in the vertical jump and 9’9″ in the broad jump.

Brown translated that athleticism into position drills and looked terrific. Besides the teams who sent offensive line coaches, the Baltimore Ravens are very high on Spencer Brown. This bears watching considering the ongoing drama with the team’s existing right tackle, Orlando Brown.

Spencer Brown is a tackle only prospect. Long and without great lateral movement. Brown needs to learn how to do a vertical set. Love Brown but he’s not Slater and he can’t play guard.

Was hoping Bateman or at least toney would have been there at 27 for the Ravens.  Decided ultimately to go edge. Good thing this isn’t real cause i wasn’t scared off by the injury history haha

I was close to try and trade up for Phillips, a bit of risk but super high reward.

That’s a great pick.

If you are talking about my pick of Newsome, thanks, I really value your opinions as you are a very knowledgable poster.  If you were talking about someone else's pick, who cares, what do you know.

Came into this targeting Newsome at 29.  After Farley went at 18, I didn't think he would be there, but I waited it out and got my guy.  Not sure what direction I would have gone in had he been taken.  Probably would have looked to trade back.

Right he’s a Tackle but man he sounds like a great developmental project that could blossom

I was thinking maybe going offensive side of ball for the Pack.

Would be thrilled to get Newsome @ 34 but more than likely he’s sayonara by then. I really hope JD gets a CB early. Our pass D is atrocious.

Yep. Newsome and Phillips were the two players that gave me pause about trading up. Newsome might be the best CB in the class.

I’d have parted with 86 and a second next year to avoid giving up 34 if I had access to next years picks.

yeah.... without any future picks capital (or active players), trades are kept reasonable and more realistic.  For whatever good the chart is in the real NFL, it sure helps move things along here.  Thanks to Jimmy Johnson.

Yeah I’m happy I got a day 1 starter at RG that might end up at being a 10 year starter at RT.  Plus round 3 and 4 have quite a few nice developmental guys.

Probably would have gone OL if Newsome was not there.

After watching Kevin King get abused in the playoffs, I thought another corner opposite Jaire Alexander was top priority for the Packers.  Plenty more picks to add some offense, but CB2 was my top target coming into this.

Day three kicks off with the SuperBowl champs adding to the offense.  They can’t count on the Chiefs being without their two starting tackles in the SuperBowl next year so they’re planning on just outscoring them to go back to back.

Great pick and value. Was hoping he'd last 2 more picks to me @#34. RB is on  the list for Denver, but not in this range. Etienne would have been an exception.

F**k Rodgers.  Who needs weapons.  He just needs to shut up and get close enough for us to kick field goals.

2 years in a row a RB wraps up the first rd.   not too shabbadabbadingdong man!

RB late first to a contender makes a lot of sense to me.

They are generally more productive early in their careers before they get beat up.  You get a guy who can make an immediate contribution to a good team on a 4 year rookie contract with a 5th year option.  Then you let him walk in FA for a comp pick while a team (like the Jets) overpays to watch his decline on a 2nd contract.

No trade interest in the Miami pick so I made the pick.

I attempted to trade up about 5 picks before mine for one of two players but could not do so, both players I wanted went shortly before my pick.

That's a player I could realistically see the Jets drafting at #34

I was looking at Williams at #34, but Denver needed an OT more than a RB. Was hoping he might fall to 40. Nice pick, very good player.

Looks like I need to step up my game. With KC being a Championship level team, I wanted to insert a plug and play starter rather than a more boom or bust pick.  He had very good testing numbers at his Proday that scouts weren't expecting to see.
