Only 1 player on this list had 1 year of production.  Murrary and he's currently 13-18-1 as a starter.

Rivers was a 4 year starter and was being talked about as the #1 overall pick after his freshman year.  lol

Russell Wilson was a 4 year starter, played at 2 programs.  lol

Big Ben was a 3 year starter.   Threw 25 TD's as freshman.  lol

Cam Newton won a division 2 national championship, followed it up by winning Nat'y on the big stage. lol

Are you even trying?  lol

They all blew it up in their last season.

How many seasons they started means nothing.

Cam Newton won a division 2 championship after getting tossed from Fl.  I could care less what he did at Binn College.

Do we really need to go on?

is it a FACT?

wilson is really iron sulfide?  pretty impressive for a sulfide mineral to be able to throw a football 60 yards on the run.

or are you saying it is a FACT that wilson will not be worth the investment the jets are making in him?  because if you are so prescient, why the hell aren't you running the team?  for that matter, with your ability to see into the future, why don't you own the team?  one would think someone able to foretell the future would have made billions of dollars by now and if said person were such an ardent football fan, he would have used his fortunes to purchase and run a football team.

If I was running the team, we'd be absolutely loaded with either Watson or Mahomes at the helm handing off to Dalvin Cook and throwing to the best weapons in Football, so there is that but I digress.  There are plenty of posters who could have done better then the bozos who run this team.

I do think it's fact, that Zach Wilson is fools gold.  Nothing he did in college translates.  He's a fundamental mess and needs to a completely reworked to succeed in the NFL.  I'm not saying he cant and wont develop but what the Jets are about to commit to is scary AF because the dude is literally a mess and there is nobody in the building who has actually developed a QB.

No.  Wrong.  False.  They did not and it's not even comparable the jump Wilson made from being not a draftable prospect preseason to #2 overall.  You're advocating drafting a player from BYU while pooping on Cam Newton and probably cool with Trey Lance.

The scene is just weird. Balloons and streamers like it's a surprise birthday party for a 13-year-old.

Or like a reborn something

I was going to forward it to Mike Wilson but I thought that’d be mean

Mike is busy working the back door channels to actually get Wilson to San Fran.

I get that you wouldnt get the similarities to more than a few QBs.  Try making the point of Burrow being a draftable prospect after flunking out of OSU and not being able to start over Barrett then going #1 overall wasnt a giant leap

And silly me I cant see that Binn College is a football powerhouse

do you understand what the words FACT and LITERALLY mean

it seems to me it is a fact that you literally do not understand the meaning of either

as to nobody in the building having actually developed a QB, i mean i get that they aren't internet heroes like you who have done so much, but they have plenty of experience developing offensive players.

take this guy (maybe you also don't understand the word nobody):

Greg Knapp begins his first season with the New York Jets after joining Robert Saleh's staff as the passing game specialist on January 21, 2021. For Knapp, 2021 marks his 26th season coaching in the NFL, the last 22 spent as either a quarterbacks coach or an offensive coordinator.

In his time in the NFL as an offensive coordinator or quarterbacks coach, Knapp has been part of nine different 4,000+ yard passing seasons. Additionally, he has coached 13 different Pro Bowl players, including 11 appearances by his quarterbacks, as Jeff Garcia (2000-02), Peyton Manning (2013-14), Michael Vick (2004-05) and Steve Young (1998) all earned Pro Bowl recognition.

Prior to joining the Jets, Knapp spent three seasons (2018-20) as the quarterbacks coach in Atlanta. Over that span, Ryan threw for 13,971 yards, the most in the league, with 87 touchdowns and a 66.9% completion percentage and a 97.7 passer rating.

Spending four seasons with the Broncos, first as quarterbacks coach (2013), and later adding the title of passing game coordinator (2014-16), he was part of staff that helped Denver register winning records in all four seasons, advancing to two Super Bowls, and winning Super Bowl 50. In 2013, his first season with the Broncos, Manning established single season NFL records with 5,477 yards and 55 touchdowns as the offense set NFL marks in points per game and passing yards per game. Under Knapp, Manning averaged 296.5 passing yards per game and a 100.2 passer rating between 2013-15.

Before his time in Denver, Knapp served as the offensive coordinator with Oakland (2007-08, 2012) and Seattle (2009). He also spent time as the quarterbacks coach with Houston (2010-11), helping Matt Schaub throw for 4,370 passing yards and 24 touchdowns in 2010.

During his first stint in Atlanta (2004-06), Knapp served as offensive coordinator and helped the Falcons to the league's top rushing offense all three seasons. Under Knapp, Vick became the league's first quarterback to rush for 1,000 yards in a season (2006).

Happiest mother****er alive today.

I have news for everyone.

That's only a "get away from the Jets" celebration in the fact that it's a, "we found someone dumb enough to pay that 18M option" celebration.

Hopefully it goes as well as Jamal Adams.

I think it’s cute they think he’s excited about going to the Panthers as opposed to the 19 million he’s getting for not only being worse starting QB in league but worse than a couple back ups too!

Burrow was 100% going to drafted, albeit a late rounder.  He then proceeded to have the greatest season in the history of college Football and won a Nat'y.

Cam Newton faced the same talent level as Zach Wilson, won a Nat'y.  Then he did it with the big boys.  He didnt lose a game for 2 straight seasons.  He won a Heisman.

The moral to the story, neither were one year wonders and both actually did something to warrant the hype and warrant being taken #1 overall.  It's not even remotely similar.  At all.

Happy being traded to a average team or happy because you just got 18 mill guaranteed?

Both?

His life, from his perspective, just got much better.  Better team, not here, big sure-multi-million payday, better weather and beaches (more like SoCal than NY was for sure).

Hard to see why he wouldn't be happy.  He owed us nothing at this point, in terms of loyalty.

I think anyone in his spot would be happy today.

It is interesting that Maye doesn’t like the trade it says the players on the field liked Darnold.

You don't think Maye's contract situation has something to do with Maye's getting mouthy on twitter?

I don't think anyone is saying Darnold isn't a nice kid, and liked in the locker room as a person.  What I find interesting is the silence of Robby Anderson.  You'd think he'd be on twitter with the "welcome home Brother" kind of tweets.  Darnold gave him some props in his goodbye statement.

Could happen tomorrow I guess, but I really expected a happy outbust from Robby.

We didn't have a rookie wage scale and the NFL discriminated against underclassman.  The NFL can no longer depend on the NCAA operating as a free minor league for the NFL.  That ship has sailed.  You look at the talent, you evaluate the work ethic and smarts and you either coach him up to the NFL level and put enough talent around him or rinse and repeat.

Awesome.  I feel very confident now.

Wait, you’re telling me that Greg Knapp hasn’t developed a QB? This dude has interacted with pretty much every QB. Not saying the rest isn’t accurate, but Knapp has seen pretty much everything.
