Paul Pierce fired by ESPN

Recommended Posts

Paul Pierce's time with ESPN reportedly is over.

According to Andrew Marchand of the New York Post, ESPN let Pierce go after he posted a "racy Instagram video on Friday."

Sportswriter Ryan Glasspiegel was the first to report the network and Pierce had parted ways.

Ryan Young of Yahoo Sports provided more context on the video, noting "Pierce went live on Instagram on Friday night in a room full of dancers while smoking, drinking and apparently playing poker with his friends—all while clearly ignoring basic COVID-19 safety protocols—in a string of videos that made waves on social media."

The former Boston Celtics star was a featured commentator on ESPN's NBA Countdown and The Jump. The network hired Pierce in a full-time role in 2017 after he made appearances on its basketball programming in a guest role.

Pierce tweeted a video of himself laughing with the caption "Big Things coming soon stay tuned make sure u smile #Truthshallsetufree" after the reports.

Paul Pierce has his first job offer since being fired by ESPN

He will need to, uh, flesh out the details, but Paul Pierce has already landed a new and lucrative job offer from a company that is treating his wild Instagram video as an audition. The vice president of CamSoda, an adult camera website, has pitched a six-figure offer to Pierce to work as their first-ever NBA analyst on a show surrounding the retired basketball star with all the strippers he can handle.

“Here at CamSoda, we champion exotic dancers, cam girls and sex workers,” Daryn Parker wrote, according to Total Pro Sports. “We would be more than happy to accommodate your penchant for women and you’d be free to stream with them while they twerk in the background and more.

“We’d be willing to extend you an offer of up to $250,000.

“Get in touch with me and we can discuss details and hopefully reach an agreement.”

How progressive of them!

Sounds great, until you realize that every single organization like this either directly participates in or at least condones sex trafficking.  It's a very fine line.

Cam sites directly participate in sex trafficing? This coming from the guy who almost got the site taken down due to a mega soft porn image thread that's pretty amusing lol

I said participate OR condone.  Absolutely, 100 % true.  If you're peddling prostitutes (they clearly state "sex workers" in their ad, so there's no confusing what they are, and that's just what they're being OPEN about), they're part of the problem and are actively or passively condoning sex trafficking.  It's a small leap.

I know you have strippers on your family plan and the idea of this is a real downer, but do a modicum of research and you'll find its true.

Sex workers are not sex trafficing, they include the porn stars and nude models you are so fond of. If anything things like only fans and cam sites allow the women to have greater control of thier business than ever before in a much safer climate.

Didn't say they are.  Only that if they're openly admitting they utilize sex workers, there's always a chance they are involved, actively or passively, with sex trafficking in their "below board" operations.  At the very least, they don't have much of a problem with it.
