R44
It seems Baylor rewards their walk-ons by letting them workout/embarass themselves in front of NFL scouts. Jets were one of 8 NFL teams present to watch Baylor players, including Phil Tran, workout. Phil Tran by the numbers: Height: 5' 3" Weight: 135 to 160 pounds 40 Time: Too embarassed to tell the media 225 bench press reps: Zero Wonderlic: Did real well, may've did 5 to 7 times better than Vince young's first score Career rushing yards: Zero Career receptions: Zero Tran bio: http://baylor.rivals.com/cviewplayer.asp?Player=2514 Story for all the Baylor players: http://baylorbears.collegesports.com/sports/m-footbl/spec-rel/030306aaa.html

124
He's 5'3? Are you serious? 8 NFL teams to watch a guy whose never touched the ball at BAYLOR? This must be a joke.
R44
No joke....NFL teams showed up to Baylor to see all the Seniors and juniors who wanted to run for scouts. So I guess, as Bitonti alluded to, Tran just provided some comic relief for scouts Baylor has real good defensive talent....Including a pair of junior DB's that are real good and have another season of college football left -- Anthony Arline and C.J Wallace. Jets, Giants and the others did a good thing showing up at Baylor. Also, former Jet DB coach and NFL Pro Bowl safety Bill Bradley is Baylor's DC. As far as Tran, I hate to even post something like this, because it takes a lot of guts and some talelent to practice with a Big 12 team for 3 seasons.... But, working out at regional Combine seems like a bad idea for him....at the end of the day, no one lost much time and it's a fascinating topic, I think **
