Does it really matter who we draft ?

Come writers and critics
Who prophesize with your pen
And keep your eyes wide
The chance won't come again
And don't speak too soon
For the wheel's still in spin
And there's no tellin' who
That it's namin'
For the loser now
Will be later to win
For the times they are a-changin'

It’s actually not as dumb of a question as you may think. The jets had 5 high level evaluators watch all the QB’s independently, and all 5 came back with a clear 1-2. Of the 2 one is Lawrence...which means 5 of our main evaluation people think that this second guy is the pick. With all that...if they are wrong....it truly doesn’t matter who we draft.....

Agree.  Still the same owner.  The Jets are a two win team.  And the won those two games because the Rams and Browns went into those games 100 % convinced the Jets came to lose.   And the result.  A two win team that blew a once in a generation chance at a very special QB.  And, they are now on the verge of drafting a QB that may very well be a total bust.  That applies to both Wilson and Fields.

IMO, it does matter!!! Look at the last three GM's Tannenbaum, Idzik and Maccagnan look at their draft history, and look at the team before Douglas came into the picture. This team has NO foundation at all or talent until Douglas took over as GM. With zero talent, there is no playoff appearances at all and plenty of disgruntle fans that stop going to games because of it.

Douglas came in with a plan to rebuild this team and give it a foundation. He knew it was going to take more than one year to fix this team as a whole, Douglas doesn't want a one year wonder, he wants to build a team like the Patriots and Ravens have built there respective teams to win there respective division and make the playoffs.

Remember if the Jets keep drafting well and build a foundation with plenty of talent, then the fans will fill the stadium up and there will be no more disgruntle Jet fans anymore!!!
