If there are available IOL or a T we can move inside to G that is worthy of #23 that has to be the pick. It is higher priority than any skill position player since we are not bad off at WR and RB should not be our 2nd 1st round pick. With our 2nd rounder we can then take BAP at either CB, Edge, or RB.

Now this all depends how the draft board falls. If BAP is CB and the best OL have been picked at #23 but maybe G Wyatt Davis falls to #34 for us that is fine.

I think they will be put into buckets of players.  For example:

At #23: (in order of preference)

  • Jaycee Horn
  • Teven Jenkins
  • Alijah Vera-Tucker
  • Greg Newsome
  • Creed Humphrey

#34 (depending on who is taken at 23)

  • Anyone from above
  • Alex Leatherwood
  • Kelvin Joseph
  • Azeez Ojulari
  • Eric Stokes
  • Ifeatu Melifonwu

However it plays out I think Douglas will come out of rounds 1-2 with a QB, OL, and CB or possibly an edge.

Creed Humphrey. Would be a plug and play Center for the next 10 years.

1000%

Nail down the C and move the rest of the IOL and Ts around until the line is built.

Move McGovern to G.

Clarke was drafted as a "developmental" player last year.  Let's see if he's developed.

Maybe, and I like Humphrey.

But I’ve heard a large contingent of the fanbase say the same thing about Billy Price, Pat Elflein, Garrett Bradbury, etc just over the last 5 years or so.

These top rated center prospects aren’t nearly the sure things that many Jets fans make them out to be.

Well. I agree with you. Never a sure thing. He had a great college career. Some we're concerned about his athleticism. Those question we're answered at his pro day. Put about great numbers in every test. If we're gun shy with him, we should be gun shy about everybody else we ever draft. No injury history also.

I can live with 1 OL between 23/34, and using the other pick on a CB or EDGE. No RB, No double dip on non-Oline

Taking a RB anywhere before round 4 would be a waste in LaFleur’s offense.

Ty Johnson is going to have a better year than Etienne.

I don’t think we can draft 3 QBs.

Sounds like a waste.

Etienne is also a great pass catching option and he's elusive.

A good running game helps any QB.

No doubt Ty Johnson will do well.

Oh I agree, he’s a great RB. I just can’t take any RB before Rd 4 when we need OL, WR, CB and edge.

Look, if we take him I’ll be pumped for the talent, I just don’t want it to happen.

JD signed 2 WR's in free agency Davis and Cole that many were giddy over and Mims last years rookie sensation and Crowder.

I agree Chase,Waddle,Smith drafted instant #1 WR's here.

I thought we were set reading this forum.

I like the WR room but I also like the RB room, especially with Coleman. Would rather add another WR, LaFleur can use any RB in his system. A late RB I’d be ok with.

Shocked you guys would so quickly dismiss the JD quote about surrounding his next QB with weapons.

A stud WR should be in consideration at 23 or 34

He didn’t say “weapons,” he said “talent.”

IMO, interior OL is priority number 1
