Buldawg
Jets raise some ticket prices BY NEIL BEST STAFF WRITER March 3, 2006, 8:59 PM EST The Jets will raise prices on about 60 percent of tickets for 2006, to a high of $90, the team informed its season ticket-holders in a letter mailed Friday. About 11,000 of the best seats at Giants Stadium will increase from $80 to $90. Other seats will rise by lesser amounts and the rest not at all. Overall, the price range now will be $65-$90. That range is wider than has traditionally been the case for tickets for the Giants and Jets, who have not used the elaborate pricing tiers employed by other area pro teams. The Jets also extended to a second year the "My Jets Account" feature available on the team's Web site, in which season ticket-holders can sell, forward or donate tickets up to two hours before kickoff. Of the price increase, Jets vice president for public relations Ron Colangelo said, "We always seek to strike the right balance between keeping our games as affordable as possible while still generating the resources necessary to remain competitive with other NFL teams." Smizzy
Not really a surprise with the price of all things going up- hopefully the sunny side will not get an increase It's a surprise to me. 4-12 teams usually don't raise the prices . Especially after announcing they are rebuilding and cutting fan favorites. Woody must be high. "Hey Jets fans...were gonna cut Mawae...and were raising prices again. 2nd time in 5 yrs....thanks for the support" Didn't woody save enough money hiring kids to run the team? PETROCK
It's amazing how much of a greedy pr!ck Woody Johnson is. Like he doesn't have enough money.
ThunderbirdJet
That isn't a huge increase. Pretty minimal, really. If he really was a prick, with the size of the waiting list, he could really jack the prices up.
124
You've gotta be ****ting me. We go 4-12 and we're going into rebuilding years and they have the balls to raise prices? F-that. Can't wait to get my letter.
Green DNA
I guess I should be happy. My tickets were $90 last year. For me, this is the first year I haven't had an increase since "Big Johnson" bought the team.

I thought that the Mez was already $80 and was the range going up to $90. Guess I was wrong. It was $70 a ticket for us in 124 last season I guess cause we're in the corner of the endzone...hopefully there's no increase for us or else I'll be pissed. It's bull****. We went 4-12 and are struggling right now, nowhere's near a playoff type of run and they have the nerve to pull this ****? It's not even like we're getting a new stadium. We're getting another shared stadium that you know we'll still be the second tennents in no matter how they word it.

Fred Jetstone
Lucky for me, I hover over the stadium in my Flintstone Flyer" and watch the games like that. Easy on the pocketbook if you know what I mean. http://whvcmt.warnerbros.com/WHV_MARS/thumbnail.jsp?assetID=782607
