After several days of mutual anxiety, a feeling of optimism has emerged. There is still work to be done, but they're within striking distance, a person familiar with the situation said Friday, March 3. Pennington will wind up collecting only about one-third of his original compensation. Despite rumors of Kendall's impending release, his agent, Neil Schwartz, said Friday, March 3, there was "nothing to report" and the Jets are not seeking a pay cut from his client.
