Well he wasn’t so smart the last 2 years. I feel JD is learning from his mistakes which is a very positive sign

He has only been here for 2 years.  He only had 1 offseason in fairness.  He had to clean up the mess Macc left

Why is Jabril Cox getting passed over?

I read something about his football IQ is questioned.  He's talented, but doesn't read plays well, get off blocks and can take himself out of plays.  Not saying I think that, just that I read it on one of the many draft sites I've perused.

Could be because he was injured at the LSU pro day and couldn't work out.

Football people are "what have you done for me lately" types.

You seem to care far more about the other people who post here than the team.

No I care that the team doesn't go in a stupid direction that was advocated by so many....I feel we are in good hands now. lol

Rapoport said Cox had shoulder surgery and there’s a small chance it doesn’t fully recover.

Its going to be interesting to see who shakes out in our RB corps.  You know
Carter will make it and Tevin Coleman knows the scheme.  Who steps up and
takes that third spot Perine, Johnson or Adams

Johnson should beat out the other 2 easy imo. He show the most flashes last year.

Just developmental guys. Trey Hill is a guy with some upside (just a big lumbering dude so not sure if he has the feet JD wants) and Michael Menet who screams backup more than starter to me.

I like Menet. We picked Roger Duffy out of Penn State in the 6th, and he was decent.  Menet can be a similar player.

Ty Johnson comfortably outplayed him last year and has a far higher ceiling. The excuses apply to him too. In fact all of our backs outplayed Perine last year. He was terrible. Some of us seen it coming before the season, a back without any attributes is worthless.

The sign of a good GM is one that doesn't persist with his own mistakes for the sake of his ego.

Carter, Coleman and Johnson will be the backs. Perine can kick rocks. He'll struggle to make another roster.

I think the nagging ankle injury had something to do with it but right on man, we'll see if Perrine is cut by the GM that took him last year in the same around as Carter.  I'm more concerned about you right now.

Damn Cowboys got Jabril Cox he is was my top target today

Pff saying they don't expect him to play this year, they drafted him as a long term prospect and has a lot of refining of his game to do

Zero chance Perine is cut.  There will be at least 4 RBs on the 53 man.

Ok still was my top target.  I’m happy with Carter though. I think it’s time to go defense hopefully corner

The LaMical Perine vs. Michael Carter wars are going to make the Penningtologists vs. Anti-Chad Militia look tame.

Hold on, lol, I think both are JAGS.  Let me be clear.  I dont think either are anything special.  I just dont think you're getting this huge upgrade with Carter and I dont think JD is cutting a player he drafted last year, in the same round.

Honestly, if anything, I'm hoping they compliment each other well.  While I've seen Perrine have some game changing break aways in college, he's definitely more a find and move the chains type RB.

Trey Smith is still there he could solidify the o-line at RG

Vol alumnus here, so I'm biased.  This is my guy, but the blood clot issue is scaring teams.  Dude is strong, nasty in a good way, but maybe a bit heavy footed for what the Jets want to do with OL.

Still, I'd take him.

IJ, my man, brother from another, dude...are you ok?  Talk to me, shoot me a Pm or something.

I was trolling Connors YouTube crap "Can't Wait Podcast" for a bit, but wasn't even worth the comedy anymore.  Dude is such a self-absorbed tool.
