I don’t want to sound harsh but if you don’t love this draft then you don’t deserve a penis.

Such a strange feeling when the Jets keep picking the players I want them to

The rest of the league is going to feel really stupid when they realize there aren't any DBs left for them to have!

They should allow kids to announce all the picks. Stop with all the grandstanding. Get the kids who do the NFL Play60 program - or kids at local hospitals and youth programs - to read the cards.

Kids helping fulfill the dreams of grown kids. A complete circle of inspiration and dedication.

Stop using everything for marketing. Be human.

I ❤️ idealist Ape.  You are objectively good, and not just for primate standards.

I know you always were an idealist under your most recent username iterations but wasn't on JI much for the previous versions.

LOL,

  1. jetsb_logo.gif New York Jets: Jason Pinnock, CB, Pittsburgh - B+ Grade
The Jets need as many cornerbacks as possible to deal with all of Josh Allen's receivers. Jason Pinnock is an athletic and tall (6-1, 204) cornerback with plenty of potential. I like this high-upside pick for the Jets.

not expecting this.

One player to keep an eye on is University of Pittsburgh CB Jason Pinnock, who Touchdown Wire’s Doug Farrar identified as a good scheme fit with San Francisco because of his success playing Cover-4.

From Farrar:

Pinnock did allow five touchdown passes last season in 347 coverage snaps (he’ll want to burn the Boston College tape), but when the Panthers played Cover-4 — zone coverage in which each of four defenders are responsible for a quarter of the deep third — Pinnock had that on lock. There, he allowed just two catches on 13 targets for 36 yards, no touchdowns, two of his three interceptions, and an opponent passer rating of 66.7.

Walterfootball.com, my bad.  Think it is spot on.

Walter Football rips on all things Jets.

And how is he not athletic? That's his whole thing. He's undersized and extremely athletic.

CB Jason Pinnock Pittsburgh

There is much to process with the tape and the traits of Pinnock. He looks the part, with size, length and strength, and his testing confirmed the athleticism that can be found on tape. He has the potential to roadblock receivers from press but struggles to maintain his poise and pace when he gets beaten early in the route. He has ball skills when playing with his eyes forward, but his success rate and accuracy to challenge the catch-point goes way down with his back to the ball. He has the athleticism and physical tools that fit into Cover 3 and press-man concepts, but he shouldn't be left on an island.

Is he good

Not very productive in college.  Physically talented, said to be a good fit for the cover 3.

Size/speed combo is impressive.

Strengths
  • Physical specimen with prototypical size and length.
  • Hand quickness and accuracy to jam up the release.
  • Plus athleticism and agility on display.
  • Makes smooth adjustments when routes cross his face.
  • Good decision-maker against high-low route concepts.
  • Able to contort and adjust body in mid-air.
  • Can sky and pick the interception over top of the receiver.
  • Desired size and strength in run support.
Weaknesses
  • Average recognition of play-action and misdirection.
  • Tends to lose balance when opening hips to sprint in pursuit.
  • Allowed six touchdowns of 25-plus yards since 2019.
  • Panics and loses his bearings with back to the ball.
  • Needs to improve timing at catch point.
  • Below average finding proper positioning at times.
  • Very average ball instincts and hand accuracy to play the football.
