Smizzy
NFL | Talks between NFL and NFLPA break off again Sat, 4 Mar 2006 12:57:04 -0800 ESPNews reports the NFL and NFLPA have broken off talks once again regarding a new CBA. Union executive director Gene Upshaw is reportedly headed back to Washington and sources have noted the deal is "dead as a doornail."
Greensince69
Hell just cancel the 07 season. THat will bring them back to the table fast.
Green DNA
Upshaw's 60% revenue sharing is unrealistic. The owners are offering 56% which is more than generous. The players may be the reason we watch the game, but without the owners, the players would be working the drive-thru at Wendy's. I read that a number of veteran players are putting the pressure on Upshaw to get this deal done. If he doesn't, he will be beheaded by the union after all this is done. Prediction: Players will cave and the deal will be signed.
