Jets Select Kentucky Cornerback Brandin Echols With Pick 200

With the 200th overall pick in the draft, Joe Douglas and the Jets have added another defensive player in taking Kentucky cornerback Brandin Echols.

The #Jets have selected DB Brandin Echols with the No. 200 pick in the #NFLDraft, sources tell @TheAthletic

NYJ used every second of that draft clock.

Echols played 24 games in 2 years at Kentucky, picking up 108 tackles and 1 interception.

Roughly the same size of the guy we drafted at #34, and I'm guessing those are exactly the types he'll have to defend in the NFL.

There was an incredible number of fast, 5'8" - 5'11" Wide Receivers drafted this year.  With the success of guys like Tyreek Hill in this league some things are changing a bit.

Mobile QB's are causing changes too.  The Chargers successfully played a 3-1-7 against the Ravens in the wild card a few years ago.

I'm very interested to see what kind of D, Saleh plays  -  jetsafetydance

Great point!  I almost forgot about that.  Saleh's been known to go 4-2-5 so maybe the thinking is similar.
