UDFA Signings

The problem is our roster was so bereft of talent that we couldn't address that specific position today. We've had plans before and still ended up signing Kevin Hogan off of his couch.

My question still stands. What other player do we have right now that could play the Wesco role? I'm coming up blank.

Ex-Jets QB Tim Tebow worked out for Jaguars as a tight end

Couldn't resist.  He wants back in.

LMFAO.

There is no Wesco role. There is FB. I dunno, maybe we sign someone. Maybe Ty Johnson plays some FB. It’s not worth wringing our hands over. I’m pretty confident they’ll work it out.

He looks better than Chris Baker, Jace Amaro, Leggett,  and a sh*tload of other Tight Ends the Jets have wasted relatively high picks on..

There is a reason he got a $200,000 contract guarantee.  Ourlads gave Yeboah a 4th round grade.   He projects as a developmental inline tight end with every down potential.

Wesco has a role on this roster whether we like it or not. Our roster uses a FB and the only one we have resembling one is Wesco, which is why I said we shouldn't cut him.

No one is wringing their hands over it but it's a legitimate concern.

Yeboah = Antonio Gates. He just glides on the field. I think hes better than Pitts.  He might also be better than Moore. That kid is a yac specialist.

There were a couple fullbacks in this draft (not all got drafted) so I presume they have some kind of a plan in place. Wesco is probably the best shot to get the role. There are a few funny spots on the roster that I’m sure will shake themselves out, that’s definitely one of them.

But yeah, I think folks are a little ahead of themselves cutting him already. He’s the only guy who can play that role and he and Griffin (who I think is actually in trouble roster spot wise) are the only tight ends signed next year.

Also weird problem having too many NFL players at a few positions. I remember years that they needed like 5-8 UDFA’s to grab a hold of roster spots just to field a team.

No, he has a place on the roster. He has no role... Or this wouldn’t be a conversation topic, would it?

The fact you’re making it a debate = wringing hands.

Sorrry history geek here- came close but never sacked Rome. crossed the Med from Carthage to Spain with his war elephants And lost half his army in the Swiss Alps getting into Italy – was able to invade and stay in Italy for a long time but never had the strength to actually attack the city of Rome.  Still was absolutely   “the scourge of Rome”

eventually Rome finally decided to wipe Carthage off the face of the earth and went so far as to salt their fields so nothing would ever grow again- badass

Do you know for sure what kind of elephants Hannibal used to cross the Alps.  Elephants that you can train are the short eared ones like from India.  The long eared African ones are wild and not trainable aren't they.  Let me know if you can.

I can't find even one thing about this player.  There seems to be a guy with the same name from nc state who is a linebacker?

Anyone else find anything about this guy?

He definitely would stump the truck.

Perhaps he means Isaiah Dunn.  He is a corner from Oregon State who was eligible for this draft.  It does not make sense though since Ourlads did not give him a draftable grade.

I figured it had to be a mistake.  After all, did the Jets really need "moore" defensive backs?

I do not know ?  However the North African elephants absolutely struck fear into the Europeans however they would spook half the time and end up turning around rampaging their own lines
