Wilson’s throwing coach, former NFL QB John Beck, was a tremendous resource along the way, too, telling the team he’d never seen a more natural thrower at that age, or a quarterback who could throw that effortlessly off-platform, but also that he was a smart kid with enough of a cocky edge, and self-awareness, to take slings and arrows in New York. Not for nothing, but John Beck promoting Zach Wilson amounts to little more than self-promotion. The tuition for the John Beck School for QBs went up as soon as Zach went #2 overall, and so did enrollment.

Jets0712
You already were told what he did just by looking at the tape. It impresses offensive minds like LaFleur and defensive minds like Saleh. Not good enough when your guy couldn't and wasnt allowed to read defenses, needed cards on the sidelines for help. Popular Post bitonti
Everyone knows my opinion on the ZW matter by now. But I have been allowing myself to feel optimistic about this draft just to see how it feels As for Zach wilson himself I'm a measurements guy but there's some aspects of scouting that can't be measured It's like being on the admission office for medical school. This one has straight a's. That one has perfect tests, and another has published research already. But maybe the best doctor is the one who works 72 hours straight and likes doing it. Wilson seems like a dude who works harder than Sanchez and darnold combined and maybe that's more important than being 6-5 or running a 4.3 At least that's the hope. 12

varjet
This is what I am thinking now if I am JD and the Johnsons: Although we can argue whether it is the best system (for the Northeast I would prefer a Ravens/Steelers offense and defense, which we basically used to have), we have adopted the Shanahan offense and Carroll defense. We have drafted a QB at 2 who should be able to execute the offense almost perfectly, if he holds up. Let's find a backup who can do that as well. Not sold on Morgan. Don't think Foles is that guy either. Mullens, maybe Hoyer. We drafted a bunch of athletes to play the back 7 of the defense. Let's get these guys signed, in the weight room, and developed, and let's keep doing that. The Jets should be constantly looking for a second QB for this system. Morgan was likely a poor man's Manning dropback Gase prospect who may not suit the Shanahan/LeFleur system that we own now. Davis Mills could have been a flyer. I really like the idea of "next QB up."

He got zero offers to big programs, he accepted the one he had that was from Weber State, he doesn’t really get noticed until his senior year, he goes #6 overall to the Trail Blazers and becomes one of the best shooters of all time, most shooter clutch of all time and has millions of game breaking accolades on his record now and he’s only 8 years in.
