Questionaire for Jets fans

Was just wondering how ya's feel about the draft at this point. Hopefully this will help us kill some more off-season time. ;)

1.) Let's say ya draft D'brick at #4. Do ya start him at LT right away, or start him at RT early on to get his feet wet? I've heard alot of folks say that it's better to start a guy at RT first because it's easier. Or do ya maybe leave him sit at least a few games and learn?

2.) How would ya feel if the Jets went defense with that pick? What defensive position would ya want most, if any at all?

3.) If you do, in fact, end up with another round 1 pick for Abe, what do you view as your second most area of need on the team?

4.) If the Jets go QB with the #4 pick, would ya be inclined to want him to start right away or sit the bench and learn for a year?

5.) If the Jets go RB at #4, would it surprise you?

6.) If they traded down, whats the absolute lowest that you'd want to trade down to in round 1?

7.) Whats the earliest round in this draft that you'd want a defensive player?

8.) Who is the best offensive player in this draft, in your opinion?

9.) Who is the best defensive player in this draft, in your opinion?

10.) Who would be your personal pick at #4?

9.) Who is the best defensive player in this draft, in your opinion?

10.) Who would be your personal pick at #4?

1) right away...i expect dbrick to at least bea able to hold his own at lt as a rookie

2) i'd be very unhappy...jets need to go offense with this pick...but if we do go defense, it better be mario williams..

3) o-line is likely the area of most need, but with the number nine pick i figure the jets will eitehr go with lendale white or haloti ngata, both of whom fill a secondary need

4) let him sit, at least through the first couple of games...the jets dont have a good enough roster to allow a rookie qb to succeed right out of the box...

5) yes...unless bush is available, i do not expect the jets to go RB with the #4 pick, and i dont think there is value available at the position at #4...

6) i dont want to end up outside of the top 10 if we trade down from number 4...there may be depth in this draft, but i'd at least like a shot at one of the true elite prospects (or ngata, who should go outside of the top 7)

7) depends...if we get a second first round pick, i'd love to go defense with it...but otherwise, round 2 or 3

8) vince young, with reggie bush an extreemely close second and dbrick third...

9) mario williams...michael huff second (though i expect aj hawk to be the first or second defensive pick in the draft)

10) vince young...but since there is zero chance of the jets drafting him, d brick...

i may be drunk and stoned, but i stand by every answer 100%...unless it ends up being wrong...

Start right away. Plug him in from day 1 and not worry about LT for the next 12 years

2.) How would ya feel if the Jets went defense with that pick? What defensive position would ya want most, if any at all?

I'd be ok with it as long as Ferguson and Bush are off the board and the pick is Mario Williams. I'd be happy in that scenario if we've got a top 15 pick from trading Abraham

3.) If you do, in fact, end up with another round 1 pick for Abe, what do you view as your second most area of need on the team?

Well, offense is the most needed area...we need O-Line,then skill players...if that Lions trade is legit,I'd love to somehow walk away with D'Brick and Lendale White. I'd say our needs are O-Line,QB,RB,More O-line,NT,LB depth if we are indeed switching to a 3-4,and More O-Line

4.) If the Jets go QB with the #4 pick, would ya be inclined to want him to start right away or sit the bench and learn for a year?

I'd only start Leinart right away. Cutler I'd sit for 8 weeks-1 season, and I'd never draft Vince Young.

5.) If the Jets go RB at #4, would it surprise you?

It wouldn't surprise me if the Jets got a RB in the 1st round. It would surprise me if that RB got selected with the #4 pick.

6.) If they traded down, whats the absolute lowest that you'd want to trade down to in round 1?

Assuming you are talking about trading down from #4,I would not drop lower than #10 unless future 1st round picks were involved.

7.) Whats the earliest round in this draft that you'd want a defensive player?

If the best value is on defense while we pick in the first round, then 1st round.

8.) Who is the best offensive player in this draft, in your opinion?

Most NFL Ready=D'Brick Best Offensive Player overall=Reggie Bush

9.) Who is the best defensive player in this draft, in your opinion?

Mario Williams is a freak.

10.) Who would be your personal pick at #4?

Assuming Bush goes #1 overall,D'Brickashaw Ferguson would be my 2nd choice in this draft. If the top 3 picks go Bush,Leinart,Ferguson then I'm starting to think I'd take Mario Williams over Jay Cutler. Abe is as good as gone,Bryan Thomas is a JAG who could probably stick with us as a backup 3-4 end/rush Lb,and since we are total rebuild mode and I am of the mind we will be picking top 3 next year if not 1st overall,I flatout think Brady Quinn is better than Jay Cutler and think that Quinn next year as a rookie with two years under Weis would be better than Cutler with 1 year NFL experience.

I agree 100% with the over-weight, donut-eating cop.

Thankfully, you are not the GM GOB.;)

Start him right away at either tackle position but LT would be my choice.

2.) How would ya feel if the Jets went defense with that pick? What defensive position would ya want most, if any at all?

Wouldn't mind it all. Either DE Mario Williams from N.C. State or trading down to stockpile picks and picking up CB Kelly Jennings (The U).

3.) If you do, in fact, end up with another round 1 pick for Abe, what do you view as your second most area of need on the team?

After OT? Nose Tackle without question.

4.) If the Jets go QB with the #4 pick, would ya be inclined to want him to start right away or sit the bench and learn for a year?

Bench until PennyBoyWonder gets hurt again.

5.) If the Jets go RB at #4, would it surprise you?

Yes. Martin, Blaylock and a young Houston on the roster...there's no room and if you don't have an OLine to run behind you'll end up dead and out of the league in 3 years.

6.) If they traded down, whats the absolute lowest that you'd want to trade down to in round 1?

Not out of the Top 10.

7.) Whats the earliest round in this draft that you'd want a defensive player?

1st. Mario Williams or Kelly Jennings.

8.) Who is the best offensive player in this draft, in your opinion?

Reggie Bush. But if you're asking best future pro offensive player? I'd have to go with DeAngelo Williams.

9.) Who is the best defensive player in this draft, in your opinion?

DE Mario Williams - N.C. State (Julius Peppers / John Abraham together as one).

10.) Who would be your personal pick at #4?

DE Mario Williams - N.C. State

Plenty of OT's in the draft but I love D'Brick too so wouldn't mind him at all!
