Yes you have 1 less player for 2020 in the draft but you have insurance against Darnold and even if they did not play Fields or Jones would still fetch a first in a trade a year or 2 down the road. When Watson settles with his accusers the Panthers will go all in for him. Darnold will get a 4 game audition for another team during Watsons suspension and will get traded again. The owner is infatuated with the idea of Watson.
AJW514
Bridge will be out of work once Aaron Rodgers is traded to Denver. Same goes for Rhule when Carolina fans figure out that Darnold is lousy. How do you know Darnold is lousy? It didn't help him when he was under the QB killer in Gase. I think he had a pretty decent rookie season. Sent from my SM-G986U using Tapatalk

Rhule signed him to a long term deal and doubled down on Darnold without any results. Maybe Rhule isn't a great NFL HC. Not taking either side here but isn’t that stuff on the GM?

Bungaman
I don't see the Panthers' need to practice Red Zone offense with Darnold. Won't make any difference. Yes, I'm being snarky. I kind of feel for Bridgewater. He hasn't been very lucky, between injuries, teams, and changing circumstances. I hope the nice checks make up for some of that.

With that said, Rhule seems like he may have been overrated and I’m happy we got Saleh.

If we hired Rhule he would have led us to a bunch of mediocre finishes which would mean that we would never have been in position to get Zac. So despite the fact that Gase was an absolute dumpster fire, he did help us get Zac! In my mind Rhule isn't a good NFL coach and his staff lacks the ability to properly coach his team up. Also, after completely wetting the bed by giving Bridgewater a huge contract they compound that problem by bringing in Sam and guaranteeing his 5th year option. You can't make this stuff up. We dodged a bullet by not hiring Rhule. 1

EM31
Keeping your opinions to yourself while you are within a system seems like a good rule albeit one where there should probably be exceptions. Nevertheless, *probably* a good rule and one which Bridgewater stuck to. I don't think the code professional ethics prevents a player from talking about these kinds of thing s once he is no longer within that system. Not practicing two minute drills is probably a bad idea. What did the league statistics say about their team efficiency in 2-minute situations? If the effectiveness was poor and they did not practice it then the coaching staff deserved to get called on that.
