No 2 minute drill or red zone practice???? That's an interesting strategy, let's see if it pays off with Darnold.

Do you realize what this means?  Bridgewater forgot the golden rhule.

When Watson settles with his accusers the Panthers will go all in for him. Darnold will get a 4 game audition for another team during Watsons suspension and will get traded again.  The owner is infatuated with the idea of Watson.

No, the owner who is infatuated with Massage Therapists in in New England.  You're welcome.

Exactly.  The dude was fired by Miami and 15 seconds later Chris Johnson hired him to coach the Jets.  Who in their right mind thought that was the best coaching hire they could have made?

That would be SAR I.

How do you know Darnold is lousy? It didn't help him when he was under the QB killer in Gase. I think he had a pretty decent rookie season.

Welcome to the site...

To answer your question;

1) He has been hurt every season.  If a player can't stay on the field, he is already behind the 8 ball.

2)  Inaccurate.  I saw Darnold live  in Jacksonville, in said rookie season.  He missed multiple open receivers that day, and continued to miss them throughout his 3 years.

3) In fact, the ONLY two games he was good for 60 minutes was against the Colts and Packers that first year.

4) Darnold never played better in the 2nd half when he stunk in the 1st... which happened a lot btw.

5)  Clearly doesn't raise the play of anyone around him.  Darnold is a moper.  Hangs his head when things dont go perfect.  He accepts losing.

6) The above equate to a lousy starting QB.  Best case scenario for him is Jake Plummer/ Matt Hasselbeck... And he must improve A LOT to get there.

Sure he's 9 TD in 5 starts and 5 wins for NO including a QBR of 99.1 says Rhule is a genius.   Rhule signed him to a long term deal and doubled down on Darnold without any results.   Maybe Rhule isn't a great NFL HC.

i agree

they give him all this praise for turning a 1-11 college team to 11-1. but thats college not the NFL.

and Brady, is some type of great coach for being the passing coordinator at LSU in Burrows last year...

thats it. thats all on his resume. and to think some people here wanted Brady as our coach. did he really have anything to do with it or was it that Burrow was so good?

reminds me of Gase and Peyton. we know it was all Peyton but Gase rode that to get the Miami and Jets HC jobs.

did you watch every game?

i am no fan of Gase but he is being treated as a scapegoat for Sam.

sam is not good enough to make the players around him better. or he would have done it here. he had our top 3 WRs for the 2nd half and still looked bad.

good/great QBs makes average WRs look good. sam cannot take a team on his back and will them to win. yeah if you have a stacked team then sam could be 2009 mark Sanchez. without one he is butt fumble Sanchez.

and the real proof was how much different Flacco looked over sam. it was like night and day.

same team, different QBs.

Agreed. I actually think it would have been a safer move to take a QB early because it would give him two chances at QB vs the one with Darnold.

He picked Teddy, that didn't work.
He traded for Darnold, and if that doesn't work will the Panthers give him a 3rd chance at a QB?

And if the Panthers go 6-10, they won't really be in position to take a QB at 1/2. And they won't even have a 2nd round pick to use to trade up because they used that pick to get Darnold.

Didnt they give him a 7 year, 70M deal?

He'll get a third shot at it if Sam doesnt work out

I said it before, and I'll say it again. Rhule is going to be out of a job shortly after Carolina boots Sam out the door.

Yup.  Rhule is digging his own grave.  His answer to qb has been Bridgewater and Darnold.  Completely clueless coach.

Justin Fields will tear it up and Rhule will be sent packing.

You might want to remember that early returns were that they were right.  Also, that they were pushing Saleh on us this offseason.

Early meaning?  Both have losing records. Don't want

Saleh was universally approved of.

Bridgewater who has been dumped by every team he has played for, given an over generous contract by carolina before they traded him and he beaks off about the horrible coaching of rhule and or brady.  The crowd roars with approval.

Sam Darnold says nothing about being coached by a guy who's claim to fame was being lost for 6 months on the Appalachian trail and then Adma frickin Gase and dowell Loggains who ran an offense that would rival a high school team and he classily says nothing.   He gets booed and eviscerated on a daily basis.

Why would you practice a 2 minute drill with Darnold when evidence has shown it takes him 12 minutes to execute it. There are better things to do with one’s time.

I criticized Rhule many of months ago and questioned how he EVER became an NFL head coach to BEGIN WITH?!?

• Albright (1998). LB coach.

• Buffalo (1999-2000). DL coach.

• UCLA (2001). DL coach.

• Western Carolina (2002). Special teams & linebackers coach.

• Western Carolina (2003–2004). Associate head coach/special teams/linebackers coach

• Western Carolina (2005).
Associate head coach/running game coordinator/special teams/linebackers coach.

• Temple (2006). Defensive line coach.

• Temple (2007)Quarterbacks coach & recruiting coordinator.

• Temple (2008–2010). Offensive coordinator & quarterbacks coach

• Temple (2011). Offensive coordinator/tight ends/recruiting coordinator

• New York Giants (2012). Assistant offensive line coach

• Temple (2013–2016). Head coach (28-23).

• Baylor (2017–2019). Head coach (19-20).

He's born in NY therefore Jet fans wanted him ???

Check out tannehill (real QB) under Gase versus Darnold (epic bust) under Gase. FQBs make their own weapoinz and rise above circumstances.
