I'd say that the NFLPA is bunch of morons and never thought through this action. Once again, they did not negotiate these things in the CBA or the covid negotiations and then try to backdoor them through. They keep trying this and losing badly while the owners laugh at them.

DeMaurice Smith and JC Tretter are two of the worst heads of the NFLPA in history. They keep thinking they're clever and are going to outmaneuver the league and continually end up looking like fools at the players expense. They're overly concerned about people challenging their positions and confrontation with the league. They do not understand that "confrontation with the league" is not the metric of their success. 

This insanely ill advised attempt to get players to stay away from team facilities despite contractual obligations and the potential for disaster was a ploy to try to shorten the offseason and had nothing to do with covid. They cater to very top end of players ignoring the majority of players concerns. 

Of course, entrenched veterans want less off-season team activities that give younger/less established guys a chance to take their job. It's also why this attempt by the NFLPA was doomed to fail. The guys who haven't made the roster or haven't secured starting roles are going to show up to better their chances and thus unseat the vets who don't which means the vets have to start showing up. 

The incompetence of the depleted duo is truly impressive. The players not ditching them is asinine.

I call it BS! There is always an approach or tact. He could simply state that he will be in attendance and he would love to meet/learn from them. A veteran that opposes that shouldn't be in this team.

There's a story like this for every team on PFT. The Jets are literally doing the same exact thing as every single other team. 

There's being positive and there's being stupid. 

All the "OMG OMG The Jets didn't have **** running down their legs when they took the field. Guys, we've never had a team like this before!" when they haven't accomplished anything or done anything different than every other team makes it hard to take people seriously. Especially when it's the same people who celebrated the genius of Mac and Gase.

No, youre confused.  I read what you wrote.  Its kind of silly to think that the teams QB has to wait to take over the team and talk to players.  And its wrong.  Making calls and telling his teammates that he is looking forward to their participation in camp isnt barking out orders. 

You thinking Sam will benefit somehow by taking up the fight and attempting to make fun of or insult our new QB is the joke of it all.
