This kid out of Kentucky is an absolute future NBA Star and an NY household name within the makings (and will erupt come postseason play).

All-Rookie First Team

• LaMelo Ball, Hornets (3rd overall).

• Anthony Edwards, Minny (1st overall).

• Tyrese Haliburton, Kings (12th overall).

✓ Immanuel Quickley, Knicks (25th overall).

• Saddiq Bey, Pistons (19th overall).

Not yet official but I.Q is most certainly (100%) making the 2020 NBA's All-Rookie 1st team.

• "Quickley, who ranks eight among freshmen in points per game (despite ranking 28th in minutes per game); and has helped propel the Knicks to the playoffs".

• "The Kentucky product is averaging just under 22 points, four rebounds, and four assists per 36 minutes of floor time for Tom Thibodeau; in the past 30 years, the only other rookie guards to generate that sort of productivity right off the rip are Drazen Petrovic (already a legend in Europe when he came to the States), Donovan Mitchell, Luka Doncic, and Trae Young".

• "The Knicks score over four more points-per-100 with IQ on the floor—and helped him establish one of the most impressive résumés in the rookie class; ranking third in win shares per 48 minutes, box plus-minus, and VORP, and fourth in PER".

✓ Not bad for the 25th pick in the draft.

This kid is so much fun to watch (from his insane floaters, blazing speed, lightning quickness, deadly deep 3 ball ability, smooth handles, willingness to look for teammates on the fast break and he's absolutely fearless too) and he looks like an old school throwback Isiah Thomas with his short shorts while doing so.

He's without question probably our best drafted NY Point Guard pick since dating back to Mark Jackson of 1987 and Charlie Ward of 1994; he's that special.

Anthony Edwards out of the SEC (Georgia) was the #1 overall draft pick, however; it was Immanuel Quickley who earned...

A.) First-team All-SEC 2020 (Over Edwards, who made All-SEC Second-team).

And:

B.) The SEC Player of the Year 2020 (Over Edwards, who the made SEC Freshman of the Year).

And we stole this kid @ #25 overall? Bananas.

Coach Calipari was 100% accurate on draft night; The Knicks got something special (A 6'3 PG out of Kentucky and our future NYK starter @ PG for many of years to come).

I can't wait to watch Julius Randle as our #1 Superstar, R.J Barrett as our #2 sidekick, along with our #1 Defense under coach Tom Thibodeau etc; but it's Immanuel Quickley who I'm the most A+ amped up for come postseason play (and felt this kid deserved/earned his own thread).

Immanuel Quickley (Rookie) vs. Trae Young (3rd year) is going to become an electric Playoff matchup and one I can't wait to enjoy.
