NBA Playoff thread(other team’s besides Knicks)

Don’t know how many people come to the “Other Sports” section of the forum, but figured I’d let the Knicks fans have their space and not crash their thread with other playoff happenings lol. 
 

Lakers vs Suns is definitely the main card for today. I think PHX can win. They’re an overall super well rounded team. LA ran into an awful match up with this one. AD has to play better.

What's interesting is that the vast majority of pundits picked  LA 

I personally felt that the Suns were being disrespected by the national media and picked the Suns in 6. Everyone is talking about AD (and rightfully so), but I think the other critical factor in the series is that Lebron is banged up and clearly not playing quite like prime Lebron. I don't think LA can repeat unless Lebron and AD play like the best versions of themselves.

Exactly, I know we can’t always compare reg season to post season in basketball as much, because sometimes, it’s like whole other sport in its own with the way. the game plans & intensity ramps up, but even from watching them in the reg season, I thought the Suns were extremely dangerous and well rounded. Top 10 in offensive & defensive rating. That’s a tough team. I watched them clobber my Blazers twice. I think the Suns can win this on 6 definitely. As you said, the only thing that can really save the Lakers (and I hate to say it because it’s only game 2) is LeBron and AD getting back to what they do. Hard to do that when you’re gimpy and hurting though.
 

The Lakers have to step up for each other today.

Being up 1-0 in the series is partly why the line is high tonight. 

People are expecting the desperate Clippers to bounce back at home in game 2. It has no bearing on who will actually win the series.

It’s just because of the difference in rosters. The Clippers had a good regular season and house two star names, the Mavs had a good regular season but only house Luka.

 it’s basically Kawhi/PG vs Luka - so they make a simplistic guess off that imo because both these rosters have some players on it. Clippers have a bit more depth than DAL.

Kawhi looks so uninterested in playing ball. PG is up and down & Luka isn’t playing around with these boys. They better act like they enjoy winning again before Luka goes up 2-0 on them.

Been saying it since the break, Ayton is the truth and he’ll be the best big man in the West very soon. They are a little too green as a team so I still think Lebron pulls something out of his ass but they handled the Knicks superb a few times this year and you could just see how good they are bound to be.

This is getting weird pretty quickly, even for you. The Knicks haven’t been to the playoffs since Lillard got into the league, so I’m not really overly excited to argue with a dude who’s just soaking up the moment & happy to be in the 1st round. The awesome part about not being sensitive guy is even if Portland comes back and wins 4-2 and the Knicks lose the next 3 and get 4-1’d by ATL, you still wouldn’t have a single mention in your notifications from me because things like other people’s sports opinions don’t affect me so deeply & cause me to come off like a loudmouth loser when it comes down to it.

Yes. Otherwise a disproportionate amount of people would bet the favorite. The line is the oddsmakers estimate for what differential will get an equal amount of people to bet both sides.

Win or lose I'll continue watching these Playoffs have been fun again. This is the type of b ball I've missed. These kids of the 2020's could be the greatest of them all (skills wise). Agree 200%. Just hurts when you do all of that just to give up the W in such a high stakes game. I couldn’t believe how the rest of the team played out there. Combined 1-14 in both OT periods while dame by himself was 6-8 on 17 points. CJ McCollum stepping out of bounds and RoCo blowing a dunk are just too goofy to even think about in such a tight situation, it makes my blood boil how no one could give that man even an iota of help in either OT periods, hell, or even regulation. I’m so ready to ship CJ the helll out of here. They need to put another star next to Dame. I feel like it’s the only way to make this work. You need a Kawhi out there. Kawhi and Dame would be insane. I know these other NBA stars are watching. Need them to like something they see and come aboard. 

If Dame ever does get tired of Portland soon, My fandom would follow him to the Knicks if he were to go. I’m a Damian Lillard fan before I’m a Portland fan and him ending up in NY would be a treat.

well, it’s not over yet. We have a game in Portland with our backs against the wall. I think we can win it. I think we can force a Game 7.
