Corey Davis Sidelined with Shoulder Strain; Cager Down too

Every NFL camp bound to have its share of sprains and strains and the New York Jets got their first notable ding of OTAs when free agent wide receiver Corey Davis missed practice with a shoulder strain.

#Jets WR Corey Davis suffered what’s believed to be a minor shoulder strain at OTAs yesterday when he went up for a ball and landed on his shoulder, sources say. Dr. James Andrews is taking a look at the scans today, but team docs believe Davis will be OK with some rest.

Davis is reportedly set to meet with Dr. James Andrews and the team appears optimistic that it will be nothing major.

Second year wide receiver Lawrence Cager also looks to be on the shelf after pulling up lame during practice yesterday as he grabbed his left knee and limped off.

WR Lawrence Cager was running a route and just went down in pain. Was grabbing at the back of his left knee.

Cager was able to get up after a few minutes, but has a noticeable limp as he heads inside. #Jets

An undrafted free agent who was picked up last season, Cager has battled injuries for years between college and the NFL, so if he can’t stay on the field in 2021, it may be his last with the Jets.  Given his size (6′ 5”) and strong hands, Cager was a player some felt had an opportunity to stick around but was injured last season after hauling in his first two receptions against the Colts for 35 yards.

Can we talk about something important like getting Crowder off this team at all costs

Sure 2 WR's pull up lame and now we must focus on getting rid of our most productive WR last season . So right now we can't talk about it.

50% of Jets fans: "Let's trade Crowder!"

Let's just hope this doesn't repeat the "Osemley" shoulder debacle. JETS trainers and Docs, "he's fine" other doctors " he need surgery" .

also don't trade crowder .... unless he's part of a deal that brings in Julio Jones 🤪

I'm sorry, we have to take your internet forum license away for failure to sarcasm properly.
