If LeBron James is the GOAT I’m Al Bundy

Recommended Posts

Well he's breaking down athletically at almost 37 years old.

This was his 18th NBA season (compared to 15 for MJ).

MJ looked like a shell of himself during his last two NBA seasons in Washington, too.

I hate comparing GOATs in different eras etc but one thing I hate about MJ fans?

They only talk about his 6-0 Finals record.

They don't talk about his failures. They pretend he went undefeated and never lost.

1984-1985: 7th seed. Eliminated in the 1st round. 1-3 loss to Milwaukee.

1985-1986. 8th seed. Eliminated in the 1st round. 0-3 swept by Boston.

1986-1987. 8th seed. Eliminated in the first round. 0-3 swept by Boston.

1987-1988. 3rd seed. Eliminated in the 2nd round 1-4 to Detroit.

1988-1989. 6th seed. Eliminated in the ECF 3rd round. 2-4 to Detroit.

1989-1990. 3rd seed. Eliminated in the ECF 3rd round. 3-4 to Detroit.

His first 6 NBA seasons. Got his face kicked in by Milwaukee, Detroit and could NEVER beat LARRY BIRD and his Celtics.

I don't care how "young" he was.

MJ and his Bulls didn't start winning until his 7th season in the league.

He had to first wait for Bird to retire and then for the Pistons to become old and aged out.

So I guess he became "the greatest" by default.

1994-1995. 5th seed. Eliminated in the 2nd round. 2-4 to Orlando.

2001-2002. 10th seed (Wizards). No Playoffs.

2002-2003. 10th seed (Wizards). No Playoffs.

Kind of hard to forever look great at the ages of 38 and 39.

Etc.

We only hear about his 6-0 Finals MVPs.

We never hear about his (other) 9 NBA seasons of Playoff elimination(s) and NBA failures.

Jordan = 6 winning years and 9 non-winning years (in terms of Championships).

And yes. I still believe Jordan is the greatest ever.

But LeBron has earned #2 imo (sorry Kobe).

I guess when Lebron said “these shoulders were built for a reason”, he meant that they were only built to carry other superstars.

Lebron would have maybe one championship if he played in Jordan’s era and went to college plus Jordan would be 7 for 7 if he didn’t want to go play baseball

And one could say MJ never wins a ring without Phil Jackson...

Put Prime LeBron James on our Knicks of the 90's and Jordan never would've beat us (Ewing pushed Jordan to his max without a true #2 Superstar).

C; Patrick Ewing.

PF: Charles Oakley.

SF: LeBron James.

SG: John Starks.

PG: Mark Jackson.

MJ isn't eliminating that NYK team every year (big difference from Charles Smith to LeBron James) lol.

Jordan LOST during his first 6 years in the league; Phil Jackson saved him.

Oh my. I didn't think any of your takes could get worse than your football takes.

If we could've taken Chicago 6-7 games throughout our 1990s playoff wars there is no way we would've lost to MJ with a prime LeBron James (big difference in comparison to "Charles Smith")!

The East was loaded early in Jordan's career and don't forget he barely played in the 85-86 season when they got the 8 seed and he gave Boston all they could handle (a team in the conversation for best of all time).

The bulls had passed the Celtics long before bird retired. He won his first championship before bird retired.

The Pistons were still great when they swept them in '91.

While Jordan lost in Rd 1 his first 3 seasons Lebron has missed the playoffs twice (including one while still close to his prime) and now lost in Rd 1.

Lebron dominated a weak east then won a half a title in LA after GS lost all their key guys that season.

Lebron needed to form superteams to win, Jordan did not.  Did he need talent around him? Of course but he didn't run to other teams to ensure winning.

Lebron is an all time great, a top 5 player of all time but he's not Michael.

They toyed with the Knicks by allowing those series to go 6-7 games(only went 7 once).  Would Lebron have changed things? Of course, the Knicks would have been able to at least get a series from them over the years but if you put Michael on those Knicks teams and Lebron on those bulls teams without Michael the knicks would have won more

Is this where we talk about how 36 year old, King Baby James, 20 years into his career is still a poor sport, cry baby bitch, who has zero respect for sportsmanship?  Leaves the game with 5 minutes left?  What a ******* bitch.  I know the dude is a class act off the court and does some amazing work in the community but his entire on-court career has been riddled with this type of juvenile poor sport behavior where he disrespects the game, his opponents and the fans who pay to see him.

Flopping cry baby poor sport bitch but yeah tell more more about he's the goat  ////eyerolls.
