Popular Post SouthernJet
I didn't realize until hearing these Saleh, DC and OC coach interviews. how MUCH Gase messed me up mentally and spirit wise. We actually have knowledgeable XsOs big boy NFL coaches again. Of course, they have to prove it, BUT I realized while hearing these new Jet coaches how LITTLE info that jackass Gase knew. It is so refreshing to get back to hearing real NFL strategy comments AND some damn love of the game. You can tell these guys are in love with the game. I NEVER got that feeling from numbnuts. It was almost like he was doing us a favor coaching the team. 7
Popular Post Beerfish
When we were discussing the last round of coaching candidates before this one Gase was at the top of my "Do Not Hire!" list. He was even worse than I thought he'd be and I thought he would be terrible. 6 1 2

McCarthy was my second lowest rated. I was in Denver when they announced it and it was like -5 degrees (seriously no exaggeration) and I was walking into a store when I saw the feed and stopped in my tracks in San Diego short sleeve attire and I was so angry I didnt even feel the cold any more. 3

I was in Brooklyn looking at a terrible apartment that night. It was like 15 degrees out. I got an ESPN alert that it was Gase and audibly said walking down the street “you’ve got to be ******* kidding me.” Followed by a string of expletive laced texts to my football buddies group chat. The most staggering part of recent Jets history is how clearly the fans can see that hires, draft picks, free agent signings were terrible. Literally an average Jets fan in charge could have made better management decisions than the Johnsons, Idzik, and Maccagnan.

SouthernJet
Has he landed anywhere? College? I know he has a few years salary coming his way so no need to work. Some coaches get fired but game in blood and they take a job lower even if embarrasing but Gase a dickwad who probably cares more about perception than the game. I never got feeling he loved the XsOs that make NFL football a work of art anywhere near the level of many fans. I literally called 90% of his plays pre snap even to extent of what player, let alone the play call. I heard a radio guy say he was told by a NFL player that preparing for Jets had team in laughter in film room and not only was it predictable but the strategy was high school level if that. This probably why we will see some exJets have much better years than they did here,,aka 'The Tannehill Effect'

Adoni Beast
I remember when the Gase hire was made. I was driving home from work, stuck in city traffic. I turned the radio off, threw my phone across the car, and say stewing silent in a boiling simmer of hate and disgust.
jgb
Hiring Gase also closed the door on bringing in Tannehill as a backup. Tannehill would’ve paid another team before playing for Gaze again

Joe W. Namath
We should have flown the plane the night of his hiring. Cant believe we waiting till a month into the season to do it. Thankfully Joe Douglas listen and we played a role is getting him canned. Great job fellas!
