If it makes you feel any better I never actually thought it was you. But we're ahead so it seems like a better course to follow the collective wisdom of the crowd for now.

As another day comes to a close, the subjects are deep into sleep deprivation. However, one of the subjects is really coming alive. Thriving on the simulant and adrenaline of delivering some lethal blows with Dice’s electrical stick, this subject, otherwise known as Yahontov, is now being called the Lord of the Shocker by the others.

There is one last researcher lurking about, trying their best to finish the Doctor’s work.  Smirnov is an upandcommer, and up to this point, had been doing her best to support the Motherland. Witnessing this type of destruction has left her questioning the benefits involved in this research. She decides she must free the subjects and end the study, burying what has occurred. 

She gears up in extra body armor but there are no weapons left on the outside so she breaks a piece of a table and sharpens it into a spike. Just in case.

She announces over the loud speaker that she is coming in and nobody better **** with her. She has a proposition to make, she says.

As she enters the chamber, there is a foul smell that penetrates the gas mask. The subjects don’t seem to notice it.

“I am ending the study right now. You are all free to go.”

Everyone looks around although no one moves.

“Did you hear me? You are free to go. Get out!”

One person finally exits the chamber. Then another. No one else.

“What are you doing?  Do you want to die?”

The Lord of the Shocker steps into the light. “We are not leaving.”

Smirnov is bewildered. 

“We no longer want to be freed.”

“No, you’re going. Сейчас!” 

She goes over to grab one of the subjects and when she touches the participant they let out a hideous, blood curdling scream. Then the others start screaming as well. 

“Атака,” the Lord commands.

The subjects do as they are told.

Smirnov’s training kicks in and she starts fighting them off with her stake. She gets one right in the neck and he falls to the ground. She spins around and just misses another’s neck but instead rips the ear clean off.

Then she feels the electricity. The Shocker puts her to sleep. She dies.

Nyn Smirnov, Scum Researcher, has been lynched.

 

Town wins! Or do they?
