did we draft good enough

Recommended Posts

Yes.

Wilson, Tucker, Moore and Carter look to be anywhere from starters to high impact players right off the bat. Sherwood and Carter II look to be anywhere from contributors to starters depending on formation.

Who knows how everyone will pan out and maybe we even get a gem from some of the guys taken in the back end of the draft, but, the answer is YES. When you end up with 4 starters and at least 2 immediate contributors out of 10 total draft picks I think you did pretty darn 'good' in the draft.

Yes. Only time truly tell but yes I believe so. Fans need to understand that there are still gaping holes on the roster. That's because you can't completely fix a team in  few years. So understand CB, FB, TE are all areas that should be pretty weak and areas where opponents will try to exploit the Jets. Overall, however, I believe this team is headed in the right direction.

You saved Shawn’s lame ass thread with a well thought out post. He owes you a beer

Yes you can. The Browns, Rams, Seahawks, Titans, Chiefs, Bills, Dolphins and countless others have done it in 2 years time.

No you can't. Browns, Rams, Titans, Bills, and Dolphins all spent years looking like sh*t. They were always drafting high and always picked up a nice player every year but the team overall was garbage. No chemistry, bad management, bad coaching, etc. Eventually, when they got a decent HC and front office, they turned things around in what APPEARS to be the short term, but they had some decent talent on those teams.

Seahawks and Chiefs drafted extremely well for years prior to becoming SB worthy teams. Chiefs were winning 10 games almost almost every year. Stop arguing for the sake of it.

The Jets had a bare cupboard, completely devoid of talent after Mac got done screwing over the roster. Then he spent the last 5 years doing the very WORST drafting anyone can do. In a situation like that, it takes more than two offseasons to turn things around.

How could you even ask that? After 4 years, Wilson is on a Brady-like path with 3 rings, 2 league MVPs and 2 SB MVPs, Tucker is a 4-time All-Pro with 71 regular season starts under his belt, Moore has his own SB MVP and may already be the single greatest playoff performer in league history that's not a QB. Michael Carter is more than a third of the way to the all-time multipurpose yards record. With Sherwood and Carter II sharing co-defensive ROY, and racking up 11 DPOTWs between them, and Jonathan Marshall becoming a force in years 3 and 4, this is the greatest draft in history.
