it's gotta start with the way saleh and his staff deal with the game.  if they're prepared and make good calls then that's what we should all be wanting.  the team will be what the team is going to be.  i don't think they lose the first game.

If the Jets win I'm good. 

It's the first game of the season with a rookie QB, and a lot of new moving parts.  Going to be some big bumps early in the season. 

IMO the team will gel as the year goes on.  I just hope the Jets can get a few wins early in the season so it's still interesting after Thanksgiving.

For me it would be the kicking game if it fails.  Knowing we had a chance to get a new ST coordinator and we kept the old one.  Special teams need to be on top of their game.  Average field position and making extra points and FG's <40 yds will be crucial to our success.

For me, I would LOVE to see Darnold play well. 2 passing TD's, solid play execution in a well organized game BUT lose.

I would like to see Zach and Sam play basically good football with us winning.

I look at what we are doing for Zach and it is light years better than what we did for Sam.

 

Why?  I want it clear to Woody that his management of this team, is a joke. We have had opportunities for many great QB's and passed on them in the last 7 years.

I've joked about wanting to see Darnold play well in a Jets win to enjoy the brief burst of confidence from Darnold Truthers and the inevitable crash back down to Earth. But seriously, I hope Darnold looks unable to win a football game. The worse CAR does, the better our 2022 2nd and 4th rounders become.

If the Jets win, I don't care about anything else.  If Darnold plays great and beats the Jets, then I will be depressed.  If Darnold plays great and the Jets win, then it's all good.

Jesus people, why do you do this to yourself?  Zach having a bad game to start his career would disappoint you the most?  Seriously?  lmfao.   I know there are many blow hard Zach fans on this site and above all else, this place loves swallowing fluff pieces like they are Viagra but the unfortunate reality is, more then likely, Zach is going to suck his rookie season and it's ok, it's not about next season.  

The level of competition jump he's about to make is brutal.  The kid is going to have to face BB twice in his first 5 games of his career and he has 4 road games in his first 6 games.  The Jets may very well start out 0-5/6.   He's playing behind a "wait and see" OL, w/ "wait and see" skills players and "wait and see" running game.  While it's great they're better then what we've had, that's not much of an accomplishment.  The Jets were trash, so road kill would be an upgrade.  He's also playing for a rookie HC and a first time play caller with zero veteran presence in the QB room.   It's not a good formula for success, especially not on the road, week 1 with all sorts of pressure to out perform Darnold.

And lets be real, anyone who knows this team knows for a fact, without a shadow of a doubt, Darnold and Anderson have career days week 1.   It's written in stone.  Who the **** is stopping Robby on this team?  lmfao.   No pass rush, no corners, RunCMC, Anderson, DJ Moore, Terrance Marshall Jr.   They're going to light this D up!   

 

The answer should unanimously be Becton and shame on those who voted for Saleh.  In his first game as HC? Really?

What are the odds the first play from scrimmage this season isn’t a 30 yard fly from Sam to Robby and the game thread crashes and burns? 
 

of course Sam will end up 16-34 for 175 and an int but that first play is going to **** with us all
