But all of you that are on this weird bandwagon to prove any single person who questioned his fitness wrong by lumping them in with the four people in existence that called the kid fat and lazy, you do you. That small group of people were questioning something you could legitimately question at the time and now, it cannot be questioned. But to pretend there was ever more than .03% of the fan base that thought the kid was lazy is just silly. You're fighting imaginary enemies. Irish Jet
I was really worried when I heard some reports that he was badly out of shape for minicamp but then I seen a photo of him on Instagram and he looked fine. I think this is a lazy narrative people are going to push with him but it’s really not a concern yet.

Yes but he’s so important that it’s hard to discount the bad stories. The nfl is rife with players that come into camp out of shape and the rumor was Beaton was eating a lot. That on top of his reported foot problems really set the tone. I’m glad to see he’s going to be working hard. The jets need him.

DetroitRed
Becton has the face the tougher competition but Wirfs is definitely the better player. What? So how would Becton have played if he didn’t have to play the blindside? Does Brady getting the ball out quick have anything to do with his great play?
32EBoozer
Pretty lame workout video. Moses evidently has a NFL caliber weight room with 30 yds of astroturf. Fant has a converted 2-car garage with a Dicks Sporting Goods level setup and heads over to the local HS for “ cardio”. Fant has all the physical attributes, just not certain how deep his desire is to be great. The starting point of all achievement is desire. Keep this constantly in mind. Weak desires bring weak results, just as a small amount of fire makes a small amount of heat. - Napoleon HI’ll

Drums
I never thought he was lazy (especially with all of the people reporting on the foot injury and how it had nothing to do with being out of shape). The thing that worries me the most is arrogance. I think it went to his head a little last year since he was somewhat of a sensation. If he plays well he is going to get hyped up—just hope he can handle that. 1
