Zach represented by Bosa's team and JD won't budge..

You should probably wait for some actual information prior to extrapolating the worst possible scenario about his character. I doubt offset language is a concern of his since as you mentioned he isn't coming from a economically poor family.

Being the only Jets rookie unsigned and 1 of only 2 NFL rookies still unsigned is all the information/proof I need.

Once again. If he reports to training camp on time? I'll apologize and admit I was wrong and all will be forgotten/forgiven from me.

But if he's late for training camp and becomes a team distraction while not being there for his teammates? Well then he can go fk himself forreal.

When Zach forces his way to Seattle you’ll all be cheering Joe Douglas as a genius for getting draft picks.   SAR I

You’re a master in the art of bad posting, but this might be your opus.

It's a problem of motivation Bob. I work my ass off and Initech ships a few extra units, I don't see another dime, so where's the motivation? And here's another thing, I have eight different bosses ri

Zach's agent represented Joe Burrow last year.  Burrow signed on the 28th.  Would be nice if history repeats itself.  Its not the end of the world if he misses a day or two of practice, but a rookie QB on a young team needs as many reps as he can get in camp.  Hopefully this resolves itself this week.  If we are still talking about this over the weekend I will be concerned.

There are three unsigned 1st round picks.  Wilson, Lance and Slater.  No matter how many times you repeat that you think there are only two left, it isn't true until one of those three signs.

I put it on the team.  What is the possibility of those offsets coming up?  The Jags didn't let it get in the way of signing Lawrence.  Really important for them to get him in to the building.

He'll be in the building, he'll be playing.  There's really nothing to see here.

No. It's on Zach Wilson. He's supposed to be a team leader not a team distraction.

JD has signed every other Jets rookie.

Zach Wilson is 1 of only 2 NFL rookies still unsigned.

JD has been awesome and this is 100% on Zach Wilson because his family is worth $400 million and he couldn't give two craps about being a leader.

Zach Wilson needs to sign his rookie contract and report to training camp without being late and if not? Roll with James Morgan 2021, draft a QB top 1-2 next year and let Zach Wilson rot away on the bench for the next 4 years.

JD is not in the business of getting PUNKED by some rich kid spoiled brat who's never been told "NO" before.

And I'm 100% serious. Draft a QB #1 or #2 overall next year and let Zach Wilson throw his own NFL career because as a Jets fan I'm used to losing and really couldn't care less.

If Zach Wilson is late to training camp and becomes a team distraction after we've recently lost one of our coaches to a tragedy? I'll hope he never plays a single down of NFL football..

Lol.  Everybody acts like he is going to inherit his uncle's money.  That's not how it works.

His uncle's money has nothing to do with his decisions here.  He just wants what the other guys at his level are getting and the Johnsons (or JD?), for whatever reason, are being skinflints.

You are usually very positive.  Sorta odd to see you this worked up and angry about something this inconsequential.  He will be in for the start of training camp.

I don't hate the kid. I've raved about him all offseason.

I'm hypothetically speaking.

Because if he reports late to training camp? And becomes a team distraction? And puts himself ahead of his teammates and coaches?

Well then yes, he'll deserve all the hehe he receives.

I actually can't wait for him to sign. And it's bothering me that every NFL rookie has signed except for him (and 1 other player).

Yup.  And a total of about 10-12 unsigned guys including 2nd and 3rd rounders.  We are not the only ones with an unsigned draft pick.  I will start to worry later this week if he is not signed.  Right now, its just part of the process.

What are you talking about?

"Lawrence has agreed to a four-year deal worth $36.8 million, including $24.1 million guaranteed, as the first overall pick of the Jacksonville Jaguars."

Lawrence <> Lance

I can see how it can be confusing though:  Trevor Lawrence

I usually am very positive but two years of Adam Gase can change you.

I'm just frustrated. I thought we were drafting a football junkie and team leader but now it just FEELS as if he's nothing more than a Revis/Adams/Fitzpatrick offseason distraction due to a contract that'll make him a MILLIONAIRE for life.

I hope I'm wrong but it's just a frustrating feeling for me.

Ok maybe I'm wrong and it's 3 and not 2 still doesn't change the fact that 29 NFL 1st round picks have signed and Zach Wilson hasn't.

And is this going to become a sign of things to come during future contract negotiations?

PS; Don't blame me. Blame all the Jets fans for HATING Revis and Adams for wanting to be paid $$$$$$. I've learned from those Jets fans and Zack Wilson gets no free pass from me 😂

I am annoyed too but I expect that it is just brinksmanship and they'll make a last minute compromise.  Maybe he'll miss a day or two (which would be a shame, but not the end of the world).  I just wouldn't put it all on Zach.  It is not unreasonable for a 21 year old kid with no business experience to rely on the advice of professionals that he has hired to represent him.   I bet he wants to be there more than anyone.

I hope you're right but now thinking back his dad liking all of those Tweets suggesting his son never wanted to become a Jet heading into the draft and now this? Just has me thinking the worst as a longtime suffering Jets fan.

I'll gladly eat my crow if he signs before training camp.

If it's any help, I heard his old man interviewed and he was honest that their initial concerns were that the Jets had not won for a while but as soon as they met the brain trust and did their due diligence they were excited about the Jets' situation.  (I suspect that initial disappointment may also have been caused by BYU's Steve Young's history with the Niners).

Wilson will get a four-year, fully guaranteed $35.2 million contract. That part isn’t negotiable.

Him refusing to sign because of "offset language" is imo disgusting.

I'd literally cry tears of joy if I could become blessed with 35.2 million dollars in order to give $5M each to my two older sisters who raised me as my mom worked 2-3 jobs while we were kids, $5M to my older brother who was my father figure growing up, $10M to my mom for getting gifts from us on fathers day and $5M split in between my two aunts and 1 uncle.

I'd have my entire immediately family set for life while keeping $5.2M for me and my family.

But then again I'm not Zach Wilson and my family doesn't come from $400M.

Zach Wilson if he misses 1 single day of Training Camp will become unforgivable.

I assure you, nothing Wilson is doing is nearly as damaging or embarrassing as this grown man tantrum you've been throwing in this thread.

Oh trust me. No amount of complaining about Zach Wilson can EVER compare to the temper tantrums grown men were throwing during both of Revis and Adams contract demands.

(I've learned from the best and aren't as serious as one might think and I've actually been doing my best impersonation of Jets fans and mocking them for their Revis/Jamal contract negotiations 🤣💩🤣).

Don't take my Zach Wilson criticism serious JN I'm just having a fun time pretending to be like those who came before me 😜 I know he's going to sign and just having fun with him until he does 😅

We don't even know what the holdup is.  Wilson should sign the Lawrence deal.

If either side is asking for more they are at fault. It could be the Jets front office.  It could be nothing and he just needs to sit down and sign it when he reports to camp.

Lots of the stuff you say is based on faulty assumptions btw.  Portions of that slotted money can go away if a players agent isn't careful. That's what causes the holdouts.

If Wilson had any concerns about being a Jet, he would probably not have been at those Islander games with his teammates crushing beercans on their heads.

Why didn't Jets fans chill out over Revis contract demands?

Revis was the greatest coverage CB of All Time and I can quote/bump the thread where I was defending #24 like a madman against the NY sharks within the waters 24/7 and i was absolutely attacked for sticking up for Revis and defending him for wanting him to be paid accordingly during his prime (#1). And I was abused like a murderer throughout that thread.

I'm starting to realize why Revis was hated but Zach Wilson isn't (greats are hated but unproven kids are loved) but in the meantime I couldn't care less about Zach Wilson being unsigned because I know 100% he'll become signed;

I've just been sarcastic throughout this entire thread and why? Because it's the offseason and I was simply "pretending" to go overboard (like Jets fans do over every great Jets player who demands to be paid accordingly) and it's just been fun for me to get the OPPOSITE reaction for once 🤑

• Defend a player for holding out = attacked.

• Blame a player for holding out = attacked.

• I just find it funny 🤣

He's seriously starting to remind me of JOSH ROSEN (a rich kid of an entitled PRICK).

Zach's father is a Mechanic who owns 2 garages.  They are upper middle income.

David Neelman is Zach's uncle on his mothers side. Zach has nothing to do with Neelman's wealth.  That's why he was working at Door Dash.  Trying to pay Beck to better his trade.

I'm 36 and sports will always keep me young at heart 💙🏈💙

And no. I haven't been serious I've just been acting like Revis/Adams haters because they've drove me nuts over the years throughout their contract demands and I'm just having fun with Zach Wilson's and in all seriousness I can't wait to see this kid take the field once signing his contract because not since Pennington have we drafted a kid with his type of NCAA efficiency. I'm fired up for him and our Jets.

The only part I've been serious about is me crying tears of joy if ever in a position to provide my family with $35.2 million dollars and I wouldn't hesitate to sign the dotted line and other than that I already love this kid and can't wait to see him in training camp.

If my uncle who I was named after (my mom's baby brother) ever had $400,000,000? My mom would never have to work a 9-5 again and neither would my entire family 🤣 the bond between my family is unbreakable in Queens between the basement/1st floor/2nd floor/attic there were 23 people (10 adults/13 kids) and my family had to fight together as one before escaping to Florida with homes of our own.

So don't tell me about no uncle worth $400M not doing the same for his immediate family. And if his uncle is willing to charter BYU fans to Jets games for his NEPHEW don't pretend he wouldn't give Zach the shirt off his back (like I do for my nephew's and niece's).

But in all seriousness I just can't wait to see this kid in training camp.

It's a reasonable assumption that the holdup is offset language but it could also be how quickly Zach gets paid his bonus. I seen to remember the Jets wanting to pay in installments with some players rather than all of it in like 10 days. Isn't that what eventually solved the Darnold holdout. And FWIW this HAS to be driven by the Johnsons because we consistently have this issue. Unfortunately Zach will miss TC just like Darnold.

I hope Zach crushes the evil empire of ownership and the players Union who conspired to screw him out of a big payday.  The kids salary is slotted.  Give him everything else he wants.

If and when he misses time, great, be frustrated.  It hasn't happened yet.  Lets let it happen before we get mad about it happening.
