Jets fans thoughts are with the team’s passing game coordinator Greg Knapp who is reportedly in critical condition following a biking accident in which Knapp reportedly collided with a vehicle according to Mike Klis of 9News Denver.

Thoughts are w/former Broncos QB coach/current Jets pass specialist Greg Knapp. Heard from several players/coaches and confirmed w/agent Jeff Sperbeck that coach Knapp is hospitalized in critical condition w/serious injuries from bicycle accident over weekend in Calif. #9sports

Coach Knapp was riding his bicycle when struck by car. He was Broncos QB coach from 2013-16. Peyton set single-season passing records (55 TDs/5,477 yds) that still stand with Knapp in 2013. Knapp helped bring Trevor Siemian from 7th round to 18 TD/3401 yd passer in 2016. #9sports

Guys - One of our favorite football team's coaches was run over by a ******* car today and it sounds like the outlook is pretty grim.  If you're making a post in this thread that needs to be deleted b

I pray there is no head injury and wish him a speedy recovery.

Hot take -- texting and driving should be punished almost as seriously as DUI.

How awful, wishing him all the best.  And selfishly, now there isnt anyone in the building who's developed a QB in this league.

Terrible news.  Positive thoughts and prayers.  Sure hope he had a helmet on.  Biking w/no helmet ----> brain injuries too often. And I need to listen to my own advice here sometimes b/c I hate the helmet myself.   I think Arizona still doesn't require helmets for motorcycles.  You know...."freedom" and all.

Horrible news. Lost my best friend in a similar incident with a Skateboard so things like this hit home and take me back to that day. It’s one I unfortunately can remember so vividly from every call and news update on his condition.

prayers are with you coach. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

I resisted wearing a helmet for the 1st 2 months or so but eventually came around.  Now it's 2nd nature to wear one just like seatbelts in a car.  Both are automatic as they should be.

Critical condition; hit by a car....sounds like a nightmare.   Best wished Greg.

Best wishes to Coach Knapp for a speedy recovery.

And to anyone who rides a bicycle, always wear a helmet (I am talking about you @Dcat).  I have been in two crashes in the last 5 years.  Both with the helmet.  First crash, I hit my head hard when I went down, helmet cracked as did 4 ribs, but no head injury.

Second crash I don't remember to this day.  I was riding with a group of about 10 guys.  I remember approaching a railroad crossing and seeing one guy on my right cutting in front of me.  Next thing I remember is standing with my bike by the side of the road, serious road rash and head in a fog.  I would not have known how to get home if I was by myself.  And these were roads I rode al the time in an area I had lived for 15 plus years.  I knew where I was, but did not know how to get home, so we just rode slowly and I followed until my head cleared.  I have no memory of the actual crash to this day.  I hate to think about what could have been if I did not wear a helmet.  I had been riding for 30+ years without ever crashing before these 2 about a year apart.  It can happen to you.

Yea I’ve never crashed. Picked up my bike for a ride just the other day and was on an incline dirt road in a park and boom just fell off to the side and landed in a bush. Luckily I wasn’t even moving but 3 mph. It still was a strange fall off to the side and could have been worse.

This is really scary news.  Hopefully it is not a head injury and he fully recovers.  Hopefully, he was wearing a helmet.

If you ever see me riding without my helmet on please feel free to slap me upside my head.  I had a friend who lost her college-aged kid to a riding accident.  Crazy things happen so you've got to do all that you can to protect yourself.

Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.

I have been tempted to pick up road biking, and everyone says the same thing-it’s not if you will get in an accident, but when and how bad.  But we don’t know if he was road biking or just cruise biking.

Selfishly, if he cannot return to work it could have a meaningful affect on the Jets’ season and Wilson’s development.

I hope he is ok.
