Would you be ok if Zach Wilson has 0 career playoff games for our Jets and 17 years later too? I would certainly prefer he didn’t obviously but that doesn’t take away the fact that Fitz has made it through 17 years. Whether you think he’s a bum or not 17 years for a 7th round draft pick is a helluva accomplishment. Somebody likes him.

I’m pretty sure he’s earned more than the majority of 1st round picks throughout history. He’s a viable QB who is beloved in the locker room. Any team who has a young QB to break in or is stuck in a “no win” Kellen Clemens/Brett Ratliff situation will pay out the ass to bring him in, even as he approaches 40. He’s probably one of the greatest “success” stories in pro football history.

But what he has been is arguably the best backup QB in the league for the last decade. And has made a sh*tload of money in the process. He hasn't been the "best backup QB" because he's got a career losing record with 0 career playoff games and stinks as a backup too. Even Heinicke looks much better than him two weeks in a row too. LOL This is precisely why everyone looks at you like a clown. You just got duped into comparing Fitz to legit franchise QB’s because some troll duped you into even attempting that conversation. Fitz has never had a full grasp on a starting position in his career outside of maybe a year or two with the Bills over a decade ago. He’s a damn good backup who is still signing 1 year, $10 million contacts with teams as he approaches 40. If you think that Tyler Heinicke, who I will always have an admiration for as a fellow ODU grad, is even remotely approaching Fitzpatrick’s longevity in the league, then you’re just a simpleton. But we already knew that.
