Hopefully he doesn't get wide-eyed when real bullets start flying against a starting defense week 1. What the secondary did has no bearing on the performance of our young QB, the point of this thread. Zach also had plenty of 2s and 3s on his offense, too. What was good to see was his ball placement and his composure. Command of the offense. ...for perspective.

Madden franchise should be good and yet it hasn’t changed since about 2012. But if Wilson’s performance last night wasn’t enough for a preseason game that’s the type of statline people must want from him. Yeah it’s just preseason, though I’d expect him to look like this in preseason if he’s gonna be ready week 1.

If Zach played against ANY starters on defense, and then put up the numbers Kurt did against your 1s, you should gloat. I am not hyping Kurt. I want the 3rd stringer gone. I am happy with our 2 QBs in A-Rod and J-Love. Keep 2 QBs and 7 WRs. That roster spot is more valuable than to waste on a 3rd stringer you can hide on the practice squad. If Kurt becomes available the Jets should nab him. Be a nice backup that can teach Zach what A-Rod taught Kurt. If you guys get 5 wins this season, and keep him healthy, then you should do cartwheels down the road. We have a young buck at QB too. Good part for us is he has been side by side with one of the best ever. Been attached to Aaron every day for going on 2 years. If you think Aaron and he have a bad relationship you would be wrong. varjet
If Zach Wilson takes the Jets to two AFCCGs before his contract expires and then crashes, I will still be happy. Let’s see what the Ravens do with Lamar Jackson. I almost prefer riding with QBs on Rookie contracts and replacing them, except for the clear QBs who are both Superstars and top quality people committed to their crafts. Wilson could be that guy.
