For some perspective...

The Packers 3rd string QB Kurt Benkert was 18 of 25 for 151 yards, 1 TD against the Jets 1s on D.

Zach looked good against 2s and 3s. Hopefully he doesn't get wide-eyed when real bullets start flying against a starting defense week 1.

What the secondary did has no bearing on the performance of our young QB, the point of this thread.

Zach also had plenty of 2s and 3s on his offense, too. What was good to see was his ball placement and his composure. Command of the offense.

...for perspective.

Mark Sanchez in a pre-season game, 2011.  Looking at just his rookie year, he had a 65%, 147 yard, 1 TD preseason game in his rookie season. I have anxiety and it’s in full manifest right no

Also I’m only now noticing you picked a Sanchez game when he was in his 3rd season. You trash.  JN deserves a better brand of troll. Try harder.

Sanchez also went 3-0 his first 3 games.  Hope Zach goes 0-3 so he is destined for greatness

And this is why a lot of people stopped buying that garbage game . Madden has not been a good game in 10 plus years. I think a Sim Football game would be fantastic though kind of like OOP Baseball.

100% right, i didn’t actually do that lol, ea can’t have my money for anything but fifa. Madden franchise should be good and yet it hasn’t changed since about 2012. But if Wilson’s performance last night wasn’t enough for a preseason game that’s the type of statline people must want from him. Yeah it’s just preseason, though I’d expect him to look like this in preseason if he’s gonna be ready week 1.

If Wilson played anything like Benkert did last night I’d be crying in a corner holding a Pennington jersey tightly.

How many 2s and 3s started on offense for the Jets? If it was "plenty" then I would be surprised.

The perspective comes from comparing the performance to a 3rd string QB who faced mostly 1s with ALL 2's and 3's on his side including himself.

Reality and perspective should mesh.

18 of 25 for 151 yards, 1 TD. 3rd stringer facing the Jets starting defense.

Zach posted better, but similar numbers with mostly his starting offense, against players that won't even be on the Packers roster after August 31st.

Let's face it... If Zach played against ANY starters on defense, and then put up the numbers Kurt did against your 1s, you should gloat.

I am not hyping Kurt. I want the 3rd stringer gone. I am happy with our 2 QBs in A-Rod and J-Love. Keep 2 QBs and 7 WRs. That roster spot is more valuable than to waste on a 3rd stringer you can hide on the practice squad.

If Kurt becomes available the Jets should nab him. Be a nice backup that can teach Zach what A-Rod taught Kurt. I know you guys like to get all emo when thinking A-Rod is going to help bring your little whipper snapper along. "I hope Zachy and Aaron can become friends." lol

It’s probably time for you to move along and troll the next fan base the Packers play. Congrats on Benkert he’ll probably be your QB next year when Rodgers finishes shooting his way out of town.

Yeah, no. We have J-Love for the future. The present and future set in Titletown. As I said in my post, you guys should nab Kurt when he becomes available. Be a nice mentor for Zach.

I wasn't aware it was "trolling" to state facts and give some advice. I do have the perspective of a lifelong fan of a franchise that has got to the mountain top 13(World Championships) times, and 4 Lombardi's in my lifetime.

When is the last time you guys won a Championship? A playoff game?

18-25 151 yards, almost of of which came playing against the jets backups from the first drive to backups and their backups by playing most of the game.  Also how many points?  How many 3 and outs did Zack have?  And the champion like Packer backups are much better than our extremely young teams backups made up of UDFA and other teams scrubs picked up to fill spots until the next few drafts.

Most of the 2nd string Packers playing in the first half are sticking.

Try again, youre facts arent right

We do so appreciate your condescension to impart us your wisdom as a fan of a successful franchise. We will be sure to pass on that information the next time JD and Saleh come to us to ask for advice on how to run the team.

The OP was comparing Sanchez to Wilson. Not your worthless backup from flyover country. Pay attention. Makes you look like a dumbass. That however, is probably a perfect meshing of perception and reality.

You're making the same mistake Millions of unemployed, Parliament smoking, ma's basement dwelling Chuckies and Sully's in New England (and their bandwagon mates across the country) make. You root for the Packers. Thats it. That is the extent of your accomplishment regarding Football.  Their success is NOT indication of any success of yours. It doesn't make you a smart fan, or an informed fan. It makes you a fan. Period. Citing sh*t that happened in the 1930s as proof of any accumen of yours is laughable. We are aware of our teams success and lack thereof. Trust me. But also know it has zero impact or indication of any real world, personal successes or intellectual prowess regarding Football or any other pursuit.

When the Packers were gutter dwellers for 3 decades,  did that make your Dad and your Uncles a bunch of know nothing idiots? Probably not, but if the shoe fits...

So yes, take your advice and all of your "success" as a fan of a Football team and please retreat back to the bleak, dying, upper Midwestern sh*thole you are forced to live in, wrap yourself in a Packers Woobie, and go **** yourself.

Cheers.

What kinda ******* loser equates the success of a bunch of people he has absolutely zero to do with, with it making himself successful? What kind of personality disorder would drive that kind of idiot to go declare his superiority across the internet, basically begging people to witness his deeply held insecurities?

Maybe @PatsFanTX or @FF2 could expound....

I don't think its fair to compare preseasons of the past to the preaseason of today. This year just feels different. The atmosphere is different. The Packers game felt like a playoff game to me. The end of the LVR-LAR game felt the same way. This aint your daddys preseason.

The FACT is hes comparing a QB in his 3rd year, on a team that in the two prior years went to the AFCCG to a rookie playing on a team totally rebuilding.

Its not comparable in any way, shape or form.

Its pathological. If the Jets ever managed to win another Championship,  it would be really cool for us, and would be fun for a bit. But literally nothing would change in my life in a meaningful way.

I tried warning you guys about this @PackerNation guy yesterday during our game thread.  He immediately called one of our players a PUNK while boasting about his depth.

I called him out on it and got attacked by my own fan base 😅

After the game he refused to even acknowledge or mention Zach Wilson by name. Let's you know he never joined to talk Football.  And now he's attacking our history? Qnd you guys welcomed him?

Enjoy.

Let's be honest,  we have a few of our own that would go right to the head of that class.

Remember when the Red Sox and Cubs won the WS? I think many people expected their problems to all disappear, their worries to go away watching a Baseball team get a trophy.

"Try again"? You should quit while you are behind.

So, let me get this straight, you are so delusional and butthurt right now that you think you know more about the players on the Packers roster than I do? It was mostly 3's and 4's that played for the Pack yesterday. The Packers sat 32 players. 10 of those were 2's.

You can have your own opinion on how Zach played, but you can't make up your own facts.

I think Zach played well against some 2s, and mostly 3s and 4s. I think you would agree that you would find out much more if Zach had faced ANY starters on D. Yesterday was a small step on a long road to Zach becoming a quality NFL. I would slow your roll a bit on Zach. He will have a lot of growing pains this season. If you guys get 5 wins this season, and keep him healthy, then you should do cartwheels down the road.

We have a young buck at QB too. Good part for us is he has been side by side with one of the best ever. Been attached to Aaron every day for going on 2 years. If you think Aaron and he have a bad relationship you would be wrong. Aaron: "I love Jordan. Have loved working with him the last 2 years."

J-Love will most likely be ready in 2022. Stay tuned. The moment J-Love is ready we will let you know. Do the same for us. Let us know when Zach is ready and you feel fully comfortable with him. Probable to be 2022 as well. Let's hope he is still upright and not ruined like you ruined Sam.

J-Love sitting pretty waiting on his time. The J-Love era will start when our coaches give the call.

At the moment we are focused on 2021 and bringing home another Lombardi.

Cheers🍻

If Zach Wilson takes the Jets to two AFCCGs before his contract expires and then crashes, I will still be happy.

Let’s see what the Ravens do with Lamar Jackson.  I almost prefer riding with QBs on Rookie contracts and replacing them, except for the clear QBs who are both Superstars and top quality people committed to their crafts.   Wilson could be that guy.

I thought the story was Packer fans knew the game?

Your QB put up most of his yards against backups and their backups and still didnt have the game that ZW had for the game and especially in the first half when they went head to head.  Yeah, try again.  Your excuses that your backups arent as good as the youngest team in the NFLs backups is kind of amusing

J-Love isnt playing, didnt play yesterday, whats your point by repeating his name?  WTF does he have to do with the QB youre cutting as soon as he returns and ZW who has more talent in everyones opinion?

Imagine being so lonely and insecure that you, as a fan of a team that’s a championship contender, need to come to a website of a bad team, to pick fights and tell them they aren’t good to feel good about yourself.

Imagine being that person.  All the championships in the world wouldn’t make that go away.
