This is starting to get bad! Two starters in the front 7 out for prolonged period.  DB’s being hung out on an island.

Front 7 was supposed to be the strength of our defense.  Losing two established starters on a young defense is gonna hurt.

This team has lost 2 significant free agents in a defensive unit that was going to carry the team and ease the pressure off the rookie QB and OC.

There was a slight chance they may have contended for a WC, but these 2 injuries (with more to come as the season progresses) and so much youth getting their first NFL action, it’s definitely a rebuild season that, hopefully, should be entertaining to watch.

Cashman played ok on Saturday. Maybe he can finally shake off the injury bug.

KJ Wagner is still out there but I'm fine if Saleh wants to ride with the kiddos. He's the perfect style of coach for this kind of young team.

Guys like Mosley, Fatukashi and Q can hold the kids accountable in a positive way. Listen to Foley's interview after Lawson went down. There's leaders for the kids to follow. The Wilkersons and Richardsons are gone and we don't need to add the wrong kind of player to the locker room for panic reasons.

We have to be honest about where the Jets are at.

this roster is full of holes and question marks.  More pieces than last year but this is a 5-6 win team this year.

and that’s ok. As long as Zach develops and has decent protection.  Rome wasn’t built in a day. Arrows pointing up.

Also this is what is likely to happen when you overdraft one side of the ball.  This used to happen to the offense when the jets would overdraft defense and then there would inevitably be injuries to the offense and there would be no depth (and arguably no good starters either).  This year they used 4 picks on offense before going defense and while that was necessary and long overdue, here we are.  Next draft with 4 picks in the first 2 rounds they’ll add a few starters to the defense and that should help round out the talent and depth.
