Jordan Love has been learning from A-Rod for 2 yrs now. He is exactly where we want him to be in his development.

He averaged 3 yes a carry. If you take away two big gainers when the game was almost over, he did not nothing today as a runner. You can make that argument about other QB's. Would Josh Allen be as good as he was last year without Diggs. Take Kelce and Hill away from Mahomes, and see if he is the same QB.

Darnold played well today. It's not just McCaffrey.. He's got weapons, which every QB needs.

I don't see how there is any other takeaway than this: Darnold didn't magically become better. No QB, not Sam, not Zach, not Brady, Mahomes or Lamar, would win games with who the Jets surrounded Sam and now Zach with. The Pats have much better personnel than we do right now.

I thought we'd be a little bit better this year, but injuries are threatening that. We need a healthy OL to let them start to gel. We need a pass rush from our Edge/DL for our D to work.

Sam is your past, you people need to support your young QB…..seriously, booing him?  Kid has talent, but he’s not a miracle worker.  Be patient, your franchise chose to start over, you have to man up and take your lumps.  
The Jets did Sam a great favor, I choose  to think he was traded to Carolina because your FO wanted to make sure he was also traded to the best place for him.  
 
Sam has never said one negative word about his time in NY, not the franchise, coaches or fans.  He took all the blame. It would be nice if you just pretend you never drafted him.

This is absolutely correct.  You can't give a second contract to a QB whose ceiling is 10th to 15th best in the league.  You will be condemned to mediocrity.  This is true regardless of whether Zach proves to be the guy.  ( I do think he will be good, though.)

Sam Darnold, Carolina Panthers - 15% rostered

Jets fans, feel free to burn Adam Gase at the stake. Darnold has already shown more progress in two games as a Panther than he did in three years as a Jet. It's very early but his 68.4% completion percentage is by far a career-best, he's only been picked off once, and his team is 2-0 heading into a Thursday night matchup with Houston. We might be setting ourselves up for a letdown in this instance but Darnold sure looks legit thanks to Joe Brady's tutelage.
