It's understandable with this franchise, that first home game atmosphere, his confidence in his arm and that he just turned 22. At some point he'll find the balance between doing too much and doing too little depending on game situation and what the defense is giving him and then we'll have something. On all 3 of those videos 4 man rushing the passer 7 men in coverage. yes he should have gone underneath but there also should have been some RB screens WR screens and slants to bring the Pats closer in before attacking deep. Basic football IMHO Zach did not have the options on the plays coming in to be successful and as much as it hurts a guy like him he should have been throwing the ball away or hitting the guy underneath like you stated. While the throws Zach made were bad on the 2 last Int's the coaching staff did NOTHING to help him in what the pats were bringing the entire game. edited 7 men in coverage But its the Pats so it very well could have been 8 lol

You have Wilson who supposedly runs a 4.4….. use the guy the right way…. zach played with a fire under his ass which forced to force the ball he needs to learn that he cannot do that and learn the pro game which is why they needed a vet qb and they royaly ****ed up the situation 4.4 4.7. Six of one, half dozen of the other.
Ghost
I have zero worries about Zach Wilson. All of his errors were rookie mistakes that can easily be fixed. Where are the easy, QB friendly calls tho? Have we ran a screen yet?

We never saw much of that the past 10 years. Wilson is trying to complete much harder throws. I call them low percentage throws. When a QB like a Mahomes or a Rodgers comes around and makes them look easy, then you know that guy is the real deal. Jones high completion rate is because he throws short high percentage passes. He got to the same total passing yards the long way home. Most defenses give up those kinds of completions. Give Wilson a chance to fail. If he can give NE a better game in a few weeks - which is guaranteed - that is progress.

Agree and i also think that the 2nd half wilson had vs carolina may have made him think that he could continue to play that way in the first half vs NE where he would just sling it.
